A missionary on Reddit recently said the mission was “helping the poor” by guiding them to public resources, not opening the bishops storehouse. It broke his shelf. 200 billion dollars and they’re giving out the bare minimum.
Well, in all fairness to the Church, their rainy day fund hasn't even reached a trillion yet. Do these poor people think the Church is made of money or something?

Not to diminish the circumstances Don Bradley finds himself in. But sheesh, I can go out and find a bunch of people that are members of the church that could benefit from a handout or some help.

I hope he is able to get his Prius.

I’m in an Elder’s Quorum Presidency. I can find people within my own ward that have financial issues/problems. Although I think very few of them, if any, are reaching out through Go Fund Me.

Everything comes back to ‘the church’ for you guys. Crazy town.

If things get to the point where he needs help through the Bishop’s Storehouse I hope he feels like he can access that resource to help keep his family fed.

Best wishes to him and his family.

MG

Bu wouldn't the lds church recommend he first get help from the government before they come to their church?

I saw a recent post about an lds senior missionary couple taking supplies from a non-lds foodbank.

Given the amount of money the lds church is hoarding, that is despicable.

If i see that happening in my community, county, or state, i will be reporting it and assuring tht the news is aware of the lds hypocrisy.

MG,

The local Catholic Church here runs a food pantry for anyone who walks up. They don’t need to be a member. They don’t need to meet with a bishop. They don’t have to jump through any hoops other than showing up at the window.

Which is more Christ like? The bishops hoard house or the catholic food pantry?

Yep. He gets a used Prius and some change.

Screw the Prius! Let’s help Don get a Tesla!
Yes! Great idea.

Mr. Nobody leased an EV for a while. The guys at work gave him such a hard time, and especially when he called to say he needed to work from home one day because he forgot to plug in the car.
