DCP is often guilty of the very thing he accuses critics of being: Willfully ignorant of (or dismissive of) facts.

At this point, decades of Mopologetics (including the opportunity cost of publishing the two books that we had hoped to see in 2014-2015) have shaped the DCP that we now have. Nothing from here on out, not even a devastating blow from Richard Bushman on Martin Harris' "witness" of the plates, will push DCP to seriously look at Mormonism from outside his carefully curated (and probably much more fragile than he'd ever admit) religious world view.
