Kishkumen, are you endorsing a third party or is Biden your candidate?

Those of us who were fans of WWF understand the narrative twist from liking good-guys characters who kept the rules, said their prayers and despised Russia to rooting for heels who cheated and had bad manners. If you think about who made up the WWF fan base in the 80s and 90s it makes even more sense. There were some fascinating subtleties -- it was by no means orchestrated, and driven significantly by the fans, as Vince McMahon admitted with his own impromptu switch to heel beneath the cheers of the crowd. One of my favorites was the introduction of the character IRS. He didn't last very long, and few people will remember him. But he came into the ring with a shirt and tie and briefcase and in his angry voice took the microphone and reminded the crowd that April 15th was coming up and ordered them to pay their taxes.

Anyway, I have to say for the record, in keeping an even score on the new threads that have been opened, that the apologist noted for his unique brand of rudeness in the same venue which is supposedly geopolitical speaks badly about Trump. So have to give him credit for that.
I do give him credit for not supporting Trump. Thanks for raising it here, too.

Yes, I think the Trump phenomenon fits comfortably within the darker, duller, and vulgarer strains of American culture. So, it is true that I ought not to be surprised. Still, I would hope that decent people could be brought to their senses by being made to reconsider and reflect on all the implications of their support for Trump.

We can pursue this question in another forum.

I am approaching a critical time in my investments for retirement when I will move from moderate risk to conservative. The timing on such a move is critical. If Trump is elected and has the same impact on those investments as he did in his previous term, it will mean a huge difference in how much money I have and yet I still want him to lose.

Mormons who vote for Trump are choosing money over morality.
I am not sure. It seems more likely that this is the unintended consequence of the LDS Church joining the culture wars alongside Evangelicals and Catholics.

I know off topic... But, what is a proud Mormon but doesn't affiliate with the LDS mean?
The simplest explanation is that Mormon is my identity, not my ecclesiastical affiliation.
Bonus points for Mormon being your identity as opposed to Latter-Day Saint.

Being raised Mormon certainly made a huge impact on my life. And it wasn't a byword or a victory for Satan yet either; God was still cool with it in the 90s.

Indeed. President Nelson really pulled a strange 180 on the word Mormon. Baffling even.

Trump is possibly going to get dementia as he is showing early signs.

Now now, Kish. Leviticus 6:9

Stormy said a condom was used.
Just so long as they didn't do any soaking. Man their Bishop would be so disappointed in them for their worthiness interview for a polygamous temple marriage you know......

If a Mormon President was acting like Trump would his local Bishop have a court convene or wait until he left the Whitehouse?

Since there is no Mormon counter-candidate in this election, I suspect Utah will give Trump a high percentage of its votes. Outside of Dieter Uchtdorf and Daniel Peterson, most Saints will give Trump the big thumbs up.
