I sense a great deal of anxiety, Tom. I think that it is at last sinking in with the Executive Producer that this may very well have been a $2 million dollar train wreck. *He* and his wife might think that this is an interesting and “moving” story, but what does the average Latter-day Saint think? Why would anyone want to buy a ticket to this film?

The Executive Producer just put up a post about the early showings. He writes:
If you’re located along the Wasatch Front, don’t miss the opportunity of seeing Six Days in August this coming Thursday night. There will be special early screenings in American Fork, Draper, Farmington, Jordan Landing, Ogden, Orem, Salt Lake City, and Sandy: Six Days in August – Early Access. Quite frankly, we’re offering these advance screenings in the hope of generating word-of-mouth publicity, buzz, for the film. This is an independent and non-profit movie venture. It has been funded entirely by donations, and our budget for advertising and distribution is modest. So we’re relying on you to help us.
I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that the Executive Producer’s list omits Provo. I must confess that it’s rather curious that the Executive Producer has now posted an incomplete list of cities with early screenings on two occasions (see here).
Tom, I'm sure it's because the Executive Producer and his family have or will have purchased tickets to the Provo location, along with the Executive Producer's close friends and many members of the Interpreter Foundation. I imagine the Provo location will be a veritable who's who list of Mopologists. *He* is omitting the Provo location in order to make it a special, personal place to view the premiere with loved ones. Plebs aren't welcome.

Can someone please purchase a ticket to the Provo location to return and report? You might even be lucky enough to sit by Louis Midgley. Dr. Shades, this might be your one and only opportunity to interview him.

Dr. Scratch, I believe you are correct about the Executive Producer's anxiety. *He* is actually placing advertising responsibility on the shoulders of his readers. I guess if the film is a box office and critical bomb we know who to blame for not doing their part.

After spending 2 million dollars on the film, I find if hard to believe there was no budget left to advertise, except for a poorly edited YouTube video and relying on word of mouth. It appears the finances/budget were completely mismanaged. Is it any wonder there hasn't been any transparency with the donations and financing of this film?

Have the members gotten the word that there will be a lukewarm transfiguration scene of Brigham to Joseph? If only Dr. Peterson had included the scene where California Seagulls carry off Sidney Rigdon.

I am uncertain if they even end the movie with a resounding chorus of "Come Come Ye Saints".

Since I'll be in Utah visiting family I plan to buy a ticket to Vindicating Trump and then sneak into Witnesses afterwards.

Good idea! I would have done the same, but I assumed tickets for the early screening were going to sell out fast. I guess the joke is on me.
Please post a review here, on IMDB and Rottentomatoes.

Ticket update. Since yesterday, a few more tickets have been sold, bringing the total tickets sold to 18. With my two tickets I purchased, I'm now responsible for approximately 11% of all ticket sales.

You're welcome Afore.

Watch out—maybe he’ll make a phone call to some pal over at Cinemark, demanding that they hand over the names of people who bought tickets.

LOL! I can only hope they would do something so foolish, but so lucrative for me.

Couldn't he claim that the ticket stubs were stolen and demand that the cash receipts not be tallied, but instead be sent back to the Interpreter offices for a recount?

I think the real drama waiting to be told is the bromance between the late Elder Ballard and Tim Ballard. Channeling Nephi? Bilking rich Mormons with fake international vigilantism? Major motion picture starring Jim Caviezel dramatizing said vigilantism? Sexual assault? Mormon GA driven to his grave by the stress of all this blowing up in his face?

THAT is the story that must be told on the silver screen.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”
