Seems like cult member.
I along with IHQ would be interested in why you make that connection. By the way, as IHQ said, he's in agreement with you.

I'm not.

No offence to him or to you, but I read somewhere else here that his whole family has left the church and he remains. I assume that is because he has built a sort of following on YouTube and he wants to keep that going.

Seems like cult member. Don’t we see these types of people in Scientology and MAGA?
You have been duped. If you listen to these folks you will continue to be duped. Just listen...on your own... to his YouTube channel and make your own determination. If you still think he's cultish then, well, that is YOUR determination. But don't cave into the jaundiced views of those you are interacting with here. That is, if you are truly seeking for truth from all quarters.

I wish you well.

MG
I like to consider myself undupable. I am anti-MAGA, for example, while many in my circle have been duped by the horrible Orange President. I left the church, but I don't fault anyone for not leaving the church. I'm not angry or anything.

Oh my gosh! I'm in agreement with something you are saying and something IHQ said. In the same thread!

Jacob's thinking has the intellectual depth of a dry puddle. I've watched this guy in various social media spaces for a couple of years and he really is quite awful at LDS Apologetics, not to mention right-wing politics. When faced with actual verifiable evidence which contradicts his opinions, his response is deflect, deflect, deflect.

Here is an example
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Sorry, what am I looking at here?

That Council of Trent guy: I've seen several of his debates. He seems like a slick salesman for Catholocism.
