I think it is even more important to recognize the birth of the Savior.
MG,
It's your right and privilege to place your faith in a "Savior" in whom you think (fantasize) about in your heart and mind. Go for it if that is what you need and it makes you happy. If religion is what you need, then I'm fine with that! As for me, I have no need or interest in bending my knees or subjecting myself to an imaginary Savior in whom I am supposed to submit my entire soul within a religion (Christian/Mormon) that really turns me off. And, I'm not at all worried about the horrible threats (in scripture) against my soul for refusing this so-called Savior and the bloody Atonement, especially the vicious and pernicious threats written in the Doctrine and Covenants. Those things are not the word of God. I view them as threats and breathings of an angry man (Joseph Smith) accusing unbelievers who refuse to follow mandated religion.
I reject Jesus and his Atonement. It's definitely not for me!
I posted the Merry Christmas wish for those that celebrate Christmas late last night. I did not proof read it as I might normally do. I should have said "annals" rather than animals. And, of course, I am MG...not MH.
MG,
Please answer the question truthfully: Were you under the influence of alcohol while posting?
Christians from all traditions may enjoy this presentation as it shares the Good News of His miraculous birth.
We know that all things miraculous concerning the traditions of Jesus are entirely faith based and written down by men for the purpose of propagating religion. This religion is historically proven to have began 2,000 years ago. People today are still waiting for the return of Jesus as they have for 2,000 years. I can only imagine, 2,000 years from now, there will still be people waiting.
In the video I linked to in my original post we hear Mary singing to the newborn Christchild. The story behind that can be found in this video:
MG,
I'm not interested in the video about the miraculous birth of Jesus. But I am interested in what Brigham Young said about how Jesus was conceived. Care to quote what the successor of Mormonism had to say on that very important subject? Care to speculate how old little Mary was when she conceived?
This is the time of year when the “Weary world rejoices” in the birth of Jesus Christ into the world. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints celebrate and join with all of our Christian brothers and sisters in recognizing this.
Tradition plays a part.
There is no one pressuring anyone to celebrate Christmas tomorrow rather than April 6th. However, our family is according to yearly tradition and practice.
My guess is that other posters on this board who are Christian believers will be doing the same thing. It’s probably nothing to get overly uptight about. Thus, the Merry Christmas posting now rather than on April 6th.
just so people know, this thread is an example of MG trolling. Make of it as you will.
I think there is some truth to that. The stage has been set and it remains to be seen. Was this thread set up/designed to become all about MG?
Have you ever witnessed MG to misspell his initials before? It's a rather very curious misstep on his part considering he has been hitting the MG keys for well over 7,000 times, practice makes perfect. So, I conclude he either did it on purpose or was drunk. What do you think, Gad?
And, lumping the annals of all human history as "animals" is another telling misstep which is hard to reconcile. MG excuses himself on the basis that it was late at night and he didn't proofread. But there may be more to it then that, do you think?
Let me check my crystal ball and get a reading....

Typos…late night posting…I’m going with “too much eggnog” - MG was pifflicated.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
