Ha. It’s irritating how the Midge points out others’ grammar and spelling errors when he himself commits so many. I’d been considering starting another Midge thread, but didn’t feel the timing was right. He also seems to be behaving better on Sic et Non, what with all the 2020 bannings.

I should walk back my 'behaving better' statement about the Midge. I took some time last night and today to read through some recent posts of his, and to be honest he's still being an absolute dickhole to people who don't toe the line. But yeah, I don't know if another 'Louis Midgley is an asshole' thread is warranted right now.

He's probably attempting to read into their stunned view as something good, when I suspect it is something other than that. Nothing he has ever written (and I read it ALL as an apologist) ever stunned me as a believing Mormon in any manner. He was long, drawn out, and rather boring with all the tidbit details of total inanities and irrelevancies of his subject. It was astonishing he got so many articles into the FARMS Review, but he did.
Edit: Wait, I lied. He did write one piece that I found really good, and that was his critique of his own fellow Mormon scholar Joseph Fielding McConkie on his atrocious commentary on the Book of Mormon. That is 1 article of over a dozen he wrote that I liked.
