For those unfamiliar with Taylor Petrey, he has at least twice come after me on this blog. The reason is that I believe that I accurately summarized something he published.....
I predict that by the third telling this story will be that TP stalked Lou Lou daily, until he eventually ran him off the I-15, filling his car with thousands of shredded Midgley attack pieces reviews, taunting him in the name of Sandra Tanner and then abandoning him by the side of the road, only to be rescued by the Three Nephites masquerading as SLC police.
Also that he received a secret phone call from the Brethren; after praising his stalking of Colvin, he was instructed to attack TP with words because it is the FARMS (and therefore only right) way. He won’t name names, though, because far be it from the Midge to divulge confidences.

I wonder how Smoot feels about the latest interpreter venom filled article? It has to be another shot to the body or a slap in the face. He has to be suffering having to deal with jackasses like Smith periodically. He can't help who he is, yet he has to continue to live around people who condemn him for his biology. I don't know if I could handle it.

Stephen grew up respecting the Mopologists and has done everything he can to be accepted by them. However, most of the Mopologists secretly despise him because he is gay.
Louis Midgley even tried to lobby the Interpreter to remove Smoot’s articles.
Right now he is pursuing a PhD in Egyptology at the Catholic University of America in hopes of replacing John Gee: https://cua.academia.edu/StephenSmoot
I would love to see BYU hire him, but unless there is a massive sea-change, that will never happen.

Well, Dr. Peterson recently commented about wanting to both be "caring" and "obedient." I bet if Smoot is "obedient," he may have a chance.

Stephen Smoot needs an honest to goodness hug. What he's putting himself through is torture and he's doing it because he's committed to the Church and his testimony. I know the feeling. I did it for years on end and it's really, really, a difficult thing to wade through.
I give Smoot a free pass. What he needs is an honest to goodness hug from a gay man that can radiate affection that he so very much needs. Sigh.

There is a lot of truth to that statement. I wish Don Bradley, Stephen Smoot, Neal Rappleye, Grant Hardy and many others would finally have the courage to take a stand against the hate, homophobia, bigotry and racism of old school mopologists.
I understand their reluctance. Nobody likes to be bullied and have their reputations sullied, all of which the mopologists would attempt to do. It’s sad to watch.

Its fascinating to realize that the actual "doctrine" of "Heavenly Father's Church" (Jesus's, whoevers) cannot unify into a socially acceptable cohesion without tremendous hatred against others first. Love appears to be a platitude, with "the other" being the more critical principle of installation. If there is an "other" then doctrines are joyfully gathered in, revealed, and believed. But if it is inclusion.... now just a wait right there a minute, you mean we gotta accept them too?!
