In the interest of saving time...
Gaz,
In the story of Lot, Lot offers his daughters to the angry mob. If as you assume, the mob was interested in gang raping the angels what sense does it make for Lot (who is described as righteous) to offer his daughters up to be gang raped? Is one offense greater than the other?
If so, how?
Not wanting to get too graphic here but I don't know how I can address the above without getting graphic. Presumably, the mob wants to inflict anal rape on the angels. You see this is as an indicator that the mob is homosexual. If Lot successfully substituted his daughters for the angels, do you think the act would be the same? Anal rape was reserved as an insult to both male and female in those times.
How could the mob switch from the angels to the women and still be homosexual?

Jersey,
I don't think it was destroyed solely for that reason, but it didn't help things as was a large symptom of the greater problem.
If you understand the nature of the people there, why do you seem to think that Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed (there were other cities destroyed as well) on account of homosexuality?
Why do you think S was full of homos?

Gaz,
Do you remember where I bolded your quote from Genesis 19 where it clearly stated (depending on which translation you use, I suppose) that the men and boys (ALL of them, since it said "all the people" or depending on what translation you're using it could mean literall ALL the people including females) constituted the angry mob?
Do you think that all the men and boys of Sodom were homosexuals? If the mob took the offer of raping Lot's daughters would they still be homosexuals?
If the mob were made up of homosexuals, why did Lot see his daughters as a possible exchange?
Was the mob interested in homosexual sex or gang rape?

Jersey,
They were probably more interested in gang rape. Being of the moral character of not really caring. But it was a man on man rape situation, and it was the men they were looking for, not the girls.

Then why did Lot see his daughters as a fair trade?

Gaz,
here's something else to consider. You're not the only guy out there with fruity hell-fire and damnation views. YOU might restrict "blood atonement" to members of the church who commit certain sins like homosexuality, but, not every fanatic out there will be so kind to draw the line where you draw it. Many, many Mormons believe that rock music is Satan's tool. Speaking of which, the line from the comedian you cited which you picked off of Anemia, an album with a famous song calling for the crucifixion of Christ is not going to sit well with your fellow fanatics.
I mean come on, Gaz is rocking out to, "To ascend you must die! You must be crucified!... Don't you lie! Don't you damned lie". All the while wearing garments and making covenants in the temple to follow Christ. Some of your fellow fanatics may even see a hypocrisy deep enough here to warrent your own stoning.
Believe me, in the society you're looking forward to, just because you happened to be lucky not to have certain urges, you won't be too safe or free yourself.

Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.
LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

Jersey,
Desperation. He was trying to save the city from the angels. A direct attack upon them would have ended it all right then and there. the angels struck the crowd with blindness until Lot could try to persuade others of his household to leave.
Then why did Lot see his daughters as a fair trade?

Oh see, I can't even get off it for 5 seconds. ;-)
How does offering up his daughters to be gang raped make Lot a righteous man?

Gadianton,
I actually got rid of that CD. I think that one got thrown away. I only have Lateralus and 10,000 Days now. You are correct in stating that that CD had bad lyrics, I also got rid of my copy of APC's Judith. They are no longer in my collection.
