Take the King Solomon approach. Maintain the ban, but look the other way if she comes back with an alt screen name. *nods sagely*

That is reasonable, Buff.

A few years ago on another board, I was having problems with the Mormons (doh!!) to the point that it was difficult to say much. I came in with a new account, picked a fight with my previous identity, who then left, with her poor feelers hurt. My friends apparently complained to the mods, who probably had a grand laugh about it. I then was free to say what I needed to say without harassment.

Hey LDST,

It took you several hours to come up with this intended personal insult?

Very telling indeed.

Peace,
Ceeboo

Ah, so you've also decided to become as dumb as JeffK. It took me several hours to do other things, like read a book, sleep, take a shower, go to work....

Will you be impersonating KevinG next? Maybe Bob Crockett? No! Wait! Do stemelbow!

Well, if nothing else, at least you're consistent with your contributions!

Your condemnation list seems to be growing with each of your generous posts. (Very impressive!)

Ceeboo, serious question - what's going on? You went from 'nice guy' to 'total dick'. I mean, I've always been acerbic, but I wear it well. Acerbic fits you like a cheap suit.

Who hurt you, buddy? Why so bitter?

Why this is controversial is because it breaks new ground, posters don’t want fuzzy guidelines when it comes to the hardcore option of perma-banning. The mods are clearly split on the issue, with both sides offering decent, reasonable, and understandable opinions, so posters want to know why a long term member got the proverbial mark of Cain and sent to wander the hinter-net.

So put on your big boy pants Shades, when you make an executive decision you have to justify it. You spent an entire week discussing the issue about Jay Gee, it doesn’t take an act of God to write out a simple paragraph within 7 days.

We knew that before Darrick's very first post here. I wanted Darrick out of here. Shades used the same reasoning that EA is using and felt that Darrick should be allowed to post.

Now, Jersey Girl is being cut off from a community that she has been a part of and contributed to for as long as the board has been running because she demanded that something be done about a person who was a KNOWN threat to people in real life.

Sorry...I don't see the sense in it.

This is extraordinarily disturbing.

As is the hissy fit in response to people's legitimate questioning and dissent.

I'll simply pass on your question to me.

(You might want to consider that your chances of receiving answers to your questions (or any type of dialouge you wish to have on these boards) are greatly increased if you can resist the urge to call the person you are trying to engage a "total dick")

I am about done with replying to your personal castings of judgement upon people and/or your personal opinions about what childish names you choose to call other people. I believe I have clearly posted where I stand on this thread and I remain firm on those positions.

Reinstate is my vote. She is my friend and the moderators have clearly not sufficiently justified a position of permanent banning. Until they do I vote for a hopeful reinstatement.
