I feel very badly about the whole Ray situation. That is all I will say other than this: I don't care to mock him, especially since I think something must be up.

True Why Me. Please pass that message along to the folks at MDDB. They don't seem to get it...it happens all the time over there to those who are "different" or "on the other side" so to speak. The pile-ons and hate oozes over there.

I posted once on MDDB, asked some pointed questions, got called a sockpuppet for some other poster everyone thought I supposedly was, and was promptly banned.

I asked questions about the scientific evidence that seemed to contradict the Book of Mormon. My questions were sincere and I was eaten alive

MDDB doesn't hate this site. Most think of this site as pitiful.

MDDB is pitiful.

Full of people who are too afraid to face the truth.

My observation of the most staunch defenders of LDS on that board, and the few here, are that most of them are one of the following, or all:
-Unemployed
-On some sort of Sandy Candy(a.k.a. meds)
-Inactive
-Own family is a mess

He even put up a whole thread to defend being an intolerant a&!hole to anyone he views as "undermining the work of God or destroying the Faith and Peace of the Saints"

I do think we owe CASteinman some gratitude. After all, he led Schryver into giving us one of his more hilarious examples of self-parody a few posts after his OP:

It is surprising that people here can deny that witness that they received when they also prayed about the Book of Mormon.

You say you had a powerful experience, but what about it makes you sure it had to be the HG?

I suspected why me can't answer this question. It would mean he would actually understand why many don't believe their experiences originated with the HG.

I think I am going to have to put Paul on ignore. I find it somewhat difficult to criticize him because I simply cannot imagine how painful it must have been to grow up gay in the church, but his rants are increasingly incoherent and tiresome. They seem to be quite purposefully aimed at shock value rather than making an argument. For example, he says in his last post that we don't know what Jesus said because we don't have any of his writings . . . yet the Romans were right to kill him because he was a "kook." Don't you seen the obvious disconnect there Paul?

I don't come here to read incoherent rants, and I would guess that is the same for most of us. I can go to the MADhouse if I want to read those.

It wouldn't bother me if everyone put me on ignore. Then, maybe, I'd just go away for good and never come back! Wouldn't that be liberating?

Oh, I can imagine Cicero reading over at the MADhouse during a moment of curiosity and boredom. But my rant was NOT incoherent. Cicero is slinging mud.
