1. Did Schryver have a written agreement with MI re his Book of Abraham article?

2. If so, did give MI have absolute control over publication of the article?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about any of this. What I do know, from my own investigation, is that the allegations made against Peterson, Hamblin, and Schryver are essentially all made up nonsense.

Have you asked these questions to the person who sought your help in gathering information?
"And the human knew the source of life, the woman of him, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, 'I have procreated a man with Yahweh.'" Gen. 4:1, interior quote translated by D. Bokovoy.

Yes, will, it does....at least according to your leaders:

"In the minds of most people at this time, the beard and long hair are associated with protest, revolution, and rebellion against authority. They are also symbols of the hippie and drug culture. Persons who wear beards or long hair, whether they desire it or not, may identify themselves with or emulate and honor the drug culture or the extreme practices of those who have made slovenly appearance a badge of protest and dissent. In addition, unkemptness—which is often (though not always) associated with beards and long hair—is a mark of indifference toward the best in life." Dallin Oaks.

On top of that, the pony-tail just makes you look like a douche.

What I see is that you don't find repeated insults of women based on their appearance, age, and sexuality to be misogynist. You don't find crude humor offensive. You don't think spreading unfounded rumors about a professor's academic record is wrong.

Most of us disagree. Doesn't make us liars.

This is actually a great example of you lying. There is a difference between Ritner and Gee about why Ritner was removed from his dissertation committee. That has nothing to do with "a professor's academic record." Being on someone's dissertation committee is not part of someone's "academic record". This is just a he said/he said case that has very little significance. I think Ritner was just blowing smoke when he threatened to bring a libel case against Peterson for quoting what Gee said about the affair. It's all rather ridiculous, if you ask me. There is certainly no "libel" involved!

That's funny. When was this said? 1965? At any rate, I think it's ridiculous to view long hair on a man a sign of rebellion, or "symbols of the hippie and drug culture"? Oh, man------that is too much.

Seriously, when did Oaks say this? Where is this quote from?

On top of that, the pony-tail just makes you look like a douche.

Sorry, I don't have a pony-tail. In fact, I don't have hardly any hair at all! But if I did, I would grow it long just to spite Dallin Oaks. I think what he said is bizarre.

Wrong. The difference is between Peterson and Ritner.

That has nothing to do with "a professor's academic record." Being on someone's dissertation committee is not part of someone's "academic record". You don't know much about academia. You can't get someone off your committee unless there's a good reason, and the reasons have to do with either bias or wrongdoing. What Peterson said is equivalent to accusing Ritner of bias or wrongdoing, without any evidence. A dropout programmer from Cedar City might find that of "very little significance" but most academics wouldn't.

This has been your MO since you've been here: deny and then minimize. That doesn't make me a liar.

Ya, Schryver is an ass. Something we both agree on.

Bob...you are a liar. Yep, you are a liar merely because Ludd disagrees with you and you are making the church and it's hitmen look bad...not everything that is true is useful...links, facts, logic, rational thought be damned. Classic apologetic behavior.
