Distributed by Deseret? Wow! Congrats on that one, Mike. It should get around then.
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”
Oh come now. First you guys tell us how good we are at brainwashing and other skullduggery and now you say how crappy we are. You can't have it both ways.
Crappy try, bc.
Let me spell it out in a little more detail. If raping and reshaping history made an excellent church, the LDS Church would be the best church ever. If that isn't your idea of what church should be about, however...

Yes, the title and cover art are equally sensationalist. I would also suggest that they are in poor taste, but each person has his or her own sense of these things. I can't help but think that even at their most sensationalist, the Signature Book covers are more tastefully done, but again...

I've been in the publishing business for almost twenty years, and here's my take on it:
The cover looks like it was done by a teenager who just learned how to use PhotoShop. It looks really unprofessional and cheap.

Yah but the guy in the bottom corner looks like Pat Buchanan. That's got to account for something.

Yep, the ransom-note effect. As I said, very amateurish design. I expect that Mike's book will be pretty good, but you wouldn't know it from the cover.
My bad if this has already been linked to somewhere in these 6 pages, but some of you might be interested in an online sample chapter from Mike's book:
