Will really committed himself didn't he? We should thank him for setting out for the benefit of all what may actually be the baseline position of some of his associates. They are probably unwilling to go out on such a limb themselves.

And, that position is completely internally consistent. If you are in for a penny, you're in for a pound. If you believe that Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith, then there must have been a parchment penned by John that was translated by Joseph Smith.

But here is where the trouble begins, and it is Brent we have to thank for pointing out the obvious problem. While not pinned down on the 116 pages, it is in this "parchment of John" that Joseph's translation skills contradict themselves. One version of the translation is not consistent with the other translation of the same material. And if we are to believe that this was not an issue, then why was it an issue with the 116 pages?

Will Schryver now reconsider painting himself into this corner?

Will is now rushing to research what exactly the Book of Comandments were. He is a small fry.

I was going through old emails and found the first email Will Schryver sent me, claiming he seriously doubted that there ever was a missing scroll. This he said shortly after declaring to the world that he had studied these documents as much as anyone.

He doesn't know what the Book of Commandments is? Good grief!
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
