Beats me. I don't' know how the type of hurting that seems apparent here, generally, comes about.

The only thing 'hurt' by DCP running away is his own reputation.

I'm sure there is plenty of solace in the oft-repeated notion (here) that DCP is a really bad person. I don't know if that somehow vindicates anything, but its an interesting note you offer.

Mr. Stak,

We're currently planning a telethon for Jeff Daniels' long lost son The Nehor. Bono is already signed up for 3 songs and 5 sun glass changes! Will you not pledge 10$ to help clothe and feed this poor soul?

Jon,

In all fairness, I believe the DCP comments on the "Mormon Stories" site are a couple of weeks old. The "Kingpin" does seem to be rather active as of late, however. Indeed, he's just launched a thread at MDD devoted to smearing and demonizing me.

Man, if ya just pulled your head out of the arse of the online, pseudo-momo defenders for a sec, you would realize that nobody really takes you seriously..I really don't care if you are a good/bad person, your online "persona" is enough to make me realize that you are confused and desperate

Allow me to bring you up to speed:

1. Liz created her own private, invite-only message board
2. A number of people who post here are also members of Liz's board
3. The Nehor is a member of Liz's board
4. The Nehor quit this board
5. Liz created a thread on this board (the thread we are in now) to say farewell to The Nehor
6. Liz, on her private message board, posted the following concerning this thread:
liz, on her private board wrote:Hey, Nehor, I just posted this on MDB:
http://www.mormondiscussions.com/phpBB3 ... =1&t=20261
I'm curious as to what the vultures have to say. LOL

7. Between the time she posted this message on her private board, and the today, she has made her board completely private
8. Liz, after starting this little board skirmish, made demands in this thread for us to leave her board alone.

Now, stem, I know you aren't stupid, and I know that you have admitted to reading too fast and missing stuff at times. So, I'd appreciate it if you would read this message carefully and then ask yourself if people aren't within their rights to be a little pissed at being manipulated by someone who they may have considered an ally at one time.

That's why your post about 'hate' may have been seen as an overreaction.

H.

I’m taking it that steps one through 5 hold no objection, right? ‘cause I don’t see any issue there. It seems like, if anything, you andothers here are objecting to the steps 6 through 8.

So she called, at least, some unspecific posters here “vultures”?
She made her private board private (whatever that means)?
And she demanded you leave her board alone on this thread?

Somehow that doesn’t seem to amount to anything near manipulation, in my estimation. I’m not sure how you, for instance, was manipulated. I’m not sure how referring to some unspecified posters here as vultures is manipulating anyone. Afterall, what did people say here when they learned of The Nehor leaving? Well hateful things, of course. It was in a way, a useful way for posters here to express their disdain for another human. It sounds as though Liz and The Nehor get a bit of a kick out of it. Who’d a thunk it?

Now, it appears, you see this as some huge battle. As if her being friends with you and the Nehor is going against her allies in some traitor sort of way. All I can say is, wow this is far different than I initially thought when I read this thread. And the far more doesn’t necessarily vindicate anyone from the hate and malice that is apparent in them. Sorry, LDST, I want to see a good side in all of this poor behavior but I don’t.

Stem, did you not make the post on MDD that stated we were hurting?

yes. But that's not to say I know how you're hurting. I don't' mean to say every poster here is hurting either.
