Pahoran had some strong inclincations that Echols was Scratch, I suggested to DCP that it might be a good idea to unfriend him.

This suggests Liz's actions were based purely on the evidentiary standard of "Pahoran said so". LIZ - IS THAT CORRECT?

May I point out that when Scratch went ballistic about my hints, I went ahead and removed them.

You see, he basically claimed that in real life information as his own. And that was good enough for me.

This suggests Pahoran hinted to Scratch that he was a certain individual and Scratch's reaction was enough evidence for Pahoran to make a judgement, which he passed on to Liz, who then acted upon it. Strangely Pahoran has subsequently removed the alleged damning hints, how odd). This seems to reflect MSJacks view that Pahoran was running around in the dark until he felt he had run into something.

... remains yet unanswered. The only evidence any of the advocates of this theory ever pointed out to me was Scratch's own reaction when they began dropping hints that this was his identity---which doesn't tell us anything about how they came up with Chino Blanco's name in the first place.

Apparently Pahoran was just throwing out random stuff and trying to see what stuck by reading the reaction of the subject. Like Cleo on the Psychic Friends network.

Pahoran's source was very reliable. Once I knew who the source was, I had a strong suspicion that it was more than just heresay. There was still, however, no way to be certain.

When Pahoran gave me the Chino Blanco name, I noticed that Chino was one of Dan's friends on Facebook. I found this a huge coincidence. That being the case, I simply told Dan that it would probably be best for him to unfriend Chino, particularly, since he didn't know who he was.

I did NOT tell Dan to post what he did in hiis blog.

I DID tell Dan that rather than complain about what Scratch was saying, if his threads were truly defaming his professional reputation, he should continue investigating, and if he could be certain that Blanco was, indeed, Scratch, then he coud consult an attorney.

Don't bother asking who Pahoran's source is because I will not reveal it. I promised Pahoran's friend that I would keep his/her name confidential.

Actually, he turned out to be unreliable. In fact, for those of us who actually know something about both Chino Blanco and Scratch, the whole idea is utterly ludicrous. So, reliable? No. Not in the least on this point.

Like the unnamed source, I would want to remain completely under the radar too, if I were to forward such risible theories and encourage others to act on them.
