How is that "V/R"? You've used your stupid little "V/R" thing so much it's become meaningless. You'll even attach it to an insult (hardly "very respectful").

It's quite like Pahoran's "regards," which to my eyes looks to mean something like, "I'll visit you in hell some time." Isn't it?

With more respect than CamNC4Me could ever bestow I say the following:

You are more honest than apologetic and that is a very positive quality.

There was a phrase in a song from my younger days which was "blinded by the light". Perhaps you have been staring at Will for too long. Could be disappearing ink on your list, but as indicated by your "not sure he was too far off the mark" comment, the problem may be found in toxic levels of apologetics which can affect one's ability to mistake the unacceptable for the acceptable The cure for this is to lower your over rationalization level with lots of chocolate.

Hope this helps.

Hey Nomad, I took the time to respond to your silly allegations and questions on that other thread. When are you going to get back to me?

I couldn't help but notice that you more or less ran away from the ressponses that I posed to you.

I wonder why that is?

Did you sense danger down that road?

Yup. I think Schryver should consider any exclusion from the cozy world of the Maxwell Institute's publications as a liberating opportunity to get out there and see how good his work is considered to be by the wider world.

It is after all quite possible to represent the KEP and the Book of Abraham as fascinating texts in the development of a distinctively American religion, and I am sure Schryver has the dexterity to separate those parts of his writing that depend on religious commitment from those that do not. Christian scholars from other denominations do it all the time, so why not Schryver? If what he says is true and well-based, it is at least as interesting as a lot of other stuff that gets published out there in non-sectarian journals that cover religious issues.

Go for it, say I.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
