yes. But that's not to say I know how you're hurting. I don't' mean to say every poster here is hurting either.

So when you said...
Man, they are, overall, hurting.

...what did you mean?

I should have used the word "generally" in place of overall. But I meant the posters here, many of them, seem to be people who are hurting over something.

stemelbow wrote:I’m taking it that steps one through 5 hold no objection, right? ‘cause I don’t see any issue there.

That is correct.

stemelbow wrote:So she called, at least, some unspecific posters here “vultures”?
She made her private board private (whatever that means)?
And she demanded you leave her board alone on this thread?

Somehow that doesn’t seem to amount to anything near manipulation, in my estimation. I’m not sure how you, for instance, was manipulated. I’m not sure how referring to some unspecified posters here as vultures is manipulating anyone. Afterall, what did people say here when they learned of The Nehor leaving? Well hateful things, of course. It was in a way, a useful way for posters here to express their disdain for another human. It sounds as though Liz and The Nehor get a bit of a kick out of it. Who’d a thunk it?

Use of the phrase 'vultures' strongly insinuated that all of us members of MD are classified as such. Liz admits to starting this thread for the specific purpose of baiting posters; to point and laugh at us.

Do you feel that is right? Is it ethical behaviour? Stem, do you treat your friends that way?

You accuse us of being hateful, but Liz seems to express outright disdain for us by starting this very thread for her own amusement!

I dunno stem, something about that doesn't seem right. I'm surprised you can't see that there is something deliberate and mean-spirited in those actions.

stemelbow wrote:Now, it appears, you see this as some huge battle. As if her being friends with you and the Nehor is going against her allies in some traitor sort of way.

No, that's not what I'm getting at. Liz can make friend with whomever she'd like; truthfully, I've rarely interacted with her and can't honestly call her a 'friend'. It's the fact that she started a thread to point and laugh from her great and spacious perch on the internet. That's what is pissing people off, Stem.

stemelbow wrote:All I can say is, wow this is far different than I initially thought when I read this thread. And the far more doesn’t necessarily vindicate anyone from the hate and malice that is apparent in them. Sorry, LDST, I want to see a good side in all of this poor behavior but I don’t.

Frankly, stem, and I say this with all due respect, I really don't think anybody cares about your judgment. Whether you find a good side to this situation is of no consequence to anyone but yourself. So if I were you, I'd lay aside the public 'tsk-tsk-tsk-ing' and try to reason your way through the scenario.

Wow..You are #1 personified...Lol...I am starting to think that you don't really know meaning of "whine" or "hostile"...Makes sense considering your posts are, for the most part, a bunch of jumbled nonsense....

Stem,

You have a low opinion of the people on this board...

Its quite amazing people behave as so many of them do and when called on it they seem to genuinely think they are doing just fine. Its an astounding view of some pretty sad behaviour. its doubly sad it somehow has something to do with the subject of Mormonism. Man, they are, overall, hurting

I get a sense from your posts, both on here and on MDD, that you look down on people here who post challenging questions and criticisms of Mormonism, in order for you to curry favour with the 'senior' apologist type people. You build up semi-decent dialogue with posters and then throw them under the bus when you think it will gain brownie points with DCP.

I don’t think she meant all posters at MD, afterall she couldn’t have been thinking of me seeing as I hold no animosity towards The Nehor. I think it clearly shows she realizes there are mean, vindictive posters here who will at the chance of someone’s departure treat the person with contempt instead of just letting it go. Its adorable fun, I’m sure, for them.

Do you feel that is right? Is it ethical behaviour? Stem, do you treat your friends that way?

In truth, no, but it pails in comparison to some of the unethical behavior that occurs here regularly. Treating certain LDS people with contempt for miniscule to no reason is less ethical, in itself, in my mind. But it happens here frequently and people support such behavior.

You accuse us of being hateful, but Liz seems to express outright disdain for us by starting this very thread for her own amusement!

Oh please. If that’s not being overdramatic, I don’t’ know what is.

I dunno stem, something about that doesn't seem right. I'm surprised you can't see that there is something deliberate and mean-spirited in those actions.

I suppose I’ve been a bit hardened after the actions that are frequent here. This seems like small potatoes in comparison.

No, that's not what I'm getting at. Liz can make friend with whomever she'd like; truthfully, I've rarely interacted with her and can't honestly call her a 'friend'. You realize how that comes off, seeing as this place is the exact definition of starting a thread to point and laugh from her great and spacious perch on the internet, don’t you? Not only do I rarely interact with Liz I rarely pay much attention to her posts. Thus, I was a bit surprised when Stak and you tried to set me straight. I didn’t’ know she was up to this stuff.

I really don’t think my opinion amounts to much to anyone here, LDST. But that certainly hasn’t stopped me from pontificating every once in a while. Its really a shame this all occurred. But its probably more a shame that you and others are taking such issue with it seeing as she is doing what is common around here.

I love the attitude of being victimized when I call people on their bad behavior. I can't say its unique to this place,as I recall seeing it elsewhere, but this place is big on it for sure.

I get a sense from your posts, both on here and on MDD, that you look down on people here who post challenging questions and criticisms of Mormonism, in order for you to curry favour with the 'senior' apologist type people.

I do my best to not look down on anyone here, but rest assured some of pretty much extinguished any respect i can muster for them. I can't help that the behavior here is poor, overall. I can only call it out when I see it. Why do I bother? Because I see good here, I see potential in many posters and essentially I expect more.

You build up semi-decent dialogue with posters and then throw them under the bus when you think it will gain brownie points with DCP.

That is stupid. No offense, but your tabloid-scratchian theory is absurd. DCP has no idea who I am. I met him once, but I'm more than certain he wouldn't remember my face, let alone my name. That's not to speak ill of him, at all. Its to say I really amount to nothing int he realm of LDS studies, and I am fine with that. I have no asperations to climb any latters.
