Are you talking about the sane people who believe in the "free birth control" fairy tale?

Here is what is going on - we have the insane, right to life, Bible
thumping nutjobs that are trying to high jack the goverment.

I find it interesting that you consider free and open elections in which, if your side loses now and then, the government has been "hijacked". If you really want to talk about the "hijacking" of government, we could talk about the last several decades of judicial imperialism and the extraconsitutional regulatory apparatus of the state.

On
the other side we have the leftist, ACLU idiot do-gooders trying to get the cross
taken out of the Los Angeles City Crest. This is what happens, these ACLU homos have to come out and demand the ten commandments tablets taken out of the court house.

Couldn't agree with you more.

And all the sane people are just stuck in the middle.

This is a fiction. There is no such thing as a philosophical or ideological "middle". You either take a position on on issue, or you do not. lf you do not, you may be said to be neutral with respect to that issue (perhaps), but neutrality is not being in a philosophical middle. Once you have taken a position on an issue or idea, that position, so long as it is held, locks one into a body of logical, psychological, and semantic consequences.

Could we have the ACLU'Relief Society and the right to lifers just go at it in Cuba so sane, moderate, logical, thinking people could just live.

In Cuba, the ACLU folks would be imprisoned or shot for being witless dupes. No one stupid enough to actually accept the rope from which they are to be hung deserve much respect in a system that worships at the alter of raw, unaccountable power. The right to lifers would be imprisoned or shot on general principles.

These religious idiots[Loran] don't care about abortion. They don't care about life.
They don't like that people are having free sex and not paying the fiddler.

Mindless gibberish. What are you talking about?

That is what the right to lifers[Loran] have always been about. You idiots are all about telling people what to do and not letting people get laid.

The right to life movement is, in general, about prohibiting convenience infanticide on demand. If you want to get laid, that's your business. However, tearing the moral fabric of my culture asunder for myself, my children, and my grandchildren as a result of your sexual irresponsibility is another matter.

Please. You are driving me insanse. I can't take anymore talk.
Please let the sane people in the middle just get along,[Loran]

We cannot all "just get along" in this sense. There are good and bad (and vile) ideas, and ideas have consequences. This is the core nature of politic and why it exists.

I've gone a lot farther with this person than the intellectual vacuity of the posts warrant, but let this be my one dive into an empty pool here.

That was a really good avoidance of the question, perhaps I could learn a lot from you.

Perhaps you could also learn to read the rest of the thread before you accuse me of avoiding questions. I answered her question.

Contraception is free here from the Family Planning Clinic, but there are still a huge number of teenage pregnancies.

And there aren't any teenage girls that want to get pregnant, is there?

Most public toilets have condom despensers, is a teenager is responsible enough to have sex, then they are responsible enough to use protection.

Maybe, maybe not. I don't think it is up to you (or the religious right) to decide when someone is "responsible enough to have sex".

Anyone can get free condoms these days. The only thing that parents must be notified for is when young teenagers want to have abortions, but that is like below 16 or something.
The Emergancy Hormonal Pill can be prescribed on the NHS. But they would have to see their GP first, or otherwise pay. Teenagers can be put on the pill without parental consent.

Look, I didn't mean to imply in my post that it was impossible to get birth control as a teenager. I know it is possible, but religious right wing wacko's are trying to make it difficult or impossible for a teenager to get birth control. If you read through some of my posts here, you'll notice some links I posted for Jersey Girl. I recommend checking Google News. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Regarding 11 and 12 year olds, they shouldn't even know what sex is. The media plants seeds in young people these days to manipulate their brains. Peer pressure makes people as young as 7 think they have to have sex. I am not joking. It is bad. There are people quatre my age that teach me things by the way they talk.

Right, it's the media's fault. Evil Hollywood, buys televisions with cable and a TiVo box, installs them in the homes of innocent families, and forces the children to watch "seeds that manipulate their brains" into having sex. It's Hollywood's fault.

The fact is that this is what the world has come to all because media tests the water by pushing a little further each time. I was shocked to see a naked man when I watched a 12 a few weeks ago. I turned away and almost left, had I not been with my friends I would have.

You should learn to differentiate facts from beliefs. I don't agree at all with that statement.

But it's much easier to blame "the media" or "the evil corporations" or "George W. Bush" than to have integrity and take some accountability. Isn't it?

There is very little that can be done to avoid children knowing things, especially with the education system in school. I was shown by a nurse in a lesson how to put a condom on a dildo.

I don't believe it was a dildo. Maybe a banana, maybe. But sexual education is not a requirement. Parents can brainwash their kids if they want to and refuse to sign the permission slip that allows kids to go to Sex Ed.

Like What the crud? Everyone would giggle, but these days it is normal. Each year when we move up a year, the change can be seen.

Right, the world is coming to an end. It's getting worse and worse. Golly what a dump this place is.

Jesus is coming back soon though, to fix it though. Any day now. In your lifetime, in your lifetime... in your life time. Head on up to the mountain now, don't even lock the door.

It isn't easy.

What isn't easy? Living in the year 2008. I love it.

Imwashingmypirate wrote:They know, they know the consequences, the majority that fall pregnant just don't care. I think abortion for irresponsible people should be banned. I think only people who are in danger and there is no other way out should be allowed to abort, especially if the child is in danger too. And I think people should
grow up, if they are going to do adult things then they should behave and take responsibility like an adult.

Who decides what is irresponsible? Right wing idiots? No thanks. If I was to sign on to your wish to take personal choices that have nothing to do with you personally, I would rather prevent irresponsible people from being irresponsible parents. But that isn't my choice, it is theirs.

Well at least you didn't post some unintelligible limerick or song like "Coggins7" would have done. Good job.

Do you think there is any such thing as "free birth control"? Tell me how it's "free", GoodK.

Where are you getting this? And is something wrong? I didn't say anything about believing in "free birth control" or fairy's or ghosts or Middle Eastern carpenters that can walk on water. I don't believe in such things.
