How would you feel about a public access Google Doc that we link from our signatures here? I have no desire to blog or keep a public name in Mormonism..... just to record and organize. And I have limited time....

i assume the investigation records are held by the Office of the Attorney General of Utah. Under the circumstances, it seems like the public has a right to see what's there, names of private citizens removed.

The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) is a law dealing with management of government records. GRAMA states who has access to records and how the law is enforced. The law attempts to balance a citizen’s right to access government record with individuals’ constitutional rights of privacy when the government gathers personal data, and the public policy interest in allowing a government to restrict access to certain records.

Under GRAMA, the Attorney General responds to requests for information regarding records that are prepared, owned or retained by our office. The Attorney General’s Office is not a statewide clearinghouse for GRAMA requests for other state agencies. Anyone seeking records prepared, owned or retained by agencies other than the Attorney General’s Office, should make a GRAMA request directly to the agency believed to be holding the records.

63G-2-105. Confidentiality agreements.
If a governmental entity or political subdivision receives a request for a record that is subject to a confidentiality agreement executed before April 1, 1992, the law in effect at the time the agreement was executed, including late judicial interpretations of the law, shall govern access to the record, unless all parties to the confidentiality agreement agree in writing to be governed by the provisions of this chapter.

I take this to mean that confidentiality agreements made in 1995 would be superseded by GRAMA. An assumption.

Unless I'm missing something, the two-year investigation took place between 1992 and 1995 even though the report of the investigation is said to be dated 1992.

I don't understand why I didn't see a date on the AG report itself.

by the way, the accusers in the lawsuit have already been corroborated in their accusations against their father who molested them, admitted it, and received psychological treatment for pedophilia. The question is whether the Miles were also involved in the sexual abuse.

Okay....so I know is a dumb question to many. I only check in once in a while and unless I go through all 7 pages here...I won't know everything that has been discussed.

Anyway, does anything that has been discussed have to with a book I read many moons ago. A mother from Lehi had created a story/outliine that went with the diary of her son and his connection to satanism via killing cows and rituals. I believe he committed suicide (not sure) but left his diary behind I do remember him discussion his priesthood with what he was dealing with. It was a scary book..but it has been way of 30 years that I have read it

He was a Mormon teenager...caught up in something that he reveled and reviled at the same time. He seemed to be able to describe the very levitation of his body...the diary explains the blood and rituals of livestock that we killed at that time. I do not yet recall the actual purpose the mother exposed other than the reason that her son died in the midst of all of this.

I am sorry if I am way late in the game...but I won't ever forget this book. He did mention the priesthood a lot.
