Based on the data, each year since 1997, every single new convert’s tithing dollars went straight to Ensign Peak and has done not one iota of good in the world or for the church, the poor or the needy.

Yeah! Listen, they are deciding who they want in the LDS Church, whether they realize it or not. They want people who stand behind this stuff, and they don't want people who question it. They don't communicate with us about these things, and they don't want our input. Especially the majority of people here on MDB.

They have decided how to handle these things, and they get to live with the consequences, whatever those consequences may be. They have used their agency.

Are they investing in companies that make it easier to spy on the members so the SCMC can better know who might be the next agitator or what the issues may be? What's the church's relationship to the NSA down the street? Is this even an issue?

Well, they sure as “F” aren't gonna build water wells in Zimbabwe, that's for sure.

My neighbor in SLC when I just got back from my mission years ago started a company with his brother that manufactured tables and chairs. As luck would have it, they knew the right G.A.'s and got some church contracts. Almost instantaneously, they were millionaires. What's going on with the money Pres. Nelson? Where does it flow to and into whose pockets? How can I participate? Maybe I'll come back with a little financial incentive? I'd like to start a company called Deseret Toilets and supply all the church's plumbing needs. We plan on making conservative republican toilets and have a special model with very soft seats for you Pres. Nelson called the trillion dollar express in honor of your $1 Trillion savings and investment goal. What do you say?

It's fraud and deception. The First Presidency are crooks and should be charged with crimes and thrown into federal prison. Who is to say a class action lawsuit is not coming down the pike for the millions of Mormons that have been deceived by the First Presidency -- crooks, liars, and cheats?

Lock them lying bastards up!

Well, the church needs tables and chairs. In government they call this "honest graft". Should these furniture contracts have gone to some Chinese manufacturer, or to a local manufacturer? Why not someone who is presumably a full tithe payer?

Sure and Jacobsen and Okland Construction made a killing too doing honest graft. So, how does one get access to the honest gravy train? Should churches be open in their contracting so all may have a chance to benefit from the honest gravy? Who are the companies that get these contracts and is there any nepotism going on? Maybe it isn't an issue but is it disclosed?

It seems to me the answer to whether the Mormon church should open its books and records depends on whose money it is. If it is someone else's money, then yes, the books and records should be opened to them.

Is it yet the tithe payer's money? If so, then tithe payers should be permitted to see where the tithing funds go and how they are used.

Is it in part the IRS's money because the church claimed a tax break? Sure, the IRS should get to audit and determine if the money is only put to proper uses.

Is it the corporate sole's (Nelson's) money? Did anyone contributing tithing think it would become Nelson's money?

Is it Jesus's money? As he is supposedly omniscient, then he already knows without the Brethren doing a thing. Since Jesus is omnipotent, why does he need money?

It is Heavenly Father's money, which he has entrusted to his chosen leaders over His Church. They receive guidance from Heavenly Father regarding how He wants His money spent or invested.

They're not God. This "the same as by my mouth" is not very moral and not necessarily devout.
