Thanks for quoting that blog entry, Chap.
I think the subtext is that neither the black male investigator or the white female stake missionary were intelligent enough to either think up or see through the ridiculous line of reasoning.

Which makes me think the encounter was largely fictitious, as all too many pulpit stories seem to be.

Great stuff MsJack
if you really want stuff like this to not happen, if you really want to protest someone or something, the place to nail your theses is not Randy Bott’s office door. It’s 50 N Main St., Salt Lake City. Tell your leaders that it’s time for answers, and if they don’t have answers, then perhaps it’s time to admit that the church’s past policies concerning blacks were sinful and wrong, and apologize. Other religions have repented of their past racism. You can, too.
It is my province to teach to the Church what the doctrine is. It is your province to echo what I say or to remain silent.

I'm sure google modified it to make the church look bad. They have nothing better to do.

I hear you.
I mean, he actually has this black male investigator agreeing that the white Church leaders were right in not giving blacks the priesthood because they were so inferior they would abuse it and send themselves to hell.

Isn't the current YM manual still racist in regards to counsel on who to date and wed. Guess the press release is a lie.

Yes, and apparently.

Actually, I think it means that the manual is wrong and the church condemns it.

The church doesn't know why God forced them to put that in the manual.

The church doesn't know why God forced them to put that in the manual.
But they condemn it all the same.
