Hey, remember that time you openly lied about being a bishop going on a trip to Israel with DCP, and then you used his accessing of the CDOL as a smokescreen to keep attention off the fact that you were openly lying? I seem to recall you calling him "childish and silly" for taking issue with your deception. Did you ever own up to that, or did you just figure you had successfully deflected the attention and chalked it up as a win?

Lying? Or is Mak spreading yet another falsehood? viewtopic.php?f=1&p=676507

Now it's my turn. Hey, remember that time you admitted you were a forger? I do. Hey, remember that time you admitted you were heavily involved in illegal drugs? I sure do, my felonious friend.

It's fun playing the judging game, isn't it Mak?

Oh, so you were a part of DCP's tour group? Would you mind sharing some details about the trip so we can verify that?

Everybody Wang Chung wrote:Now it's my turn.

No, it's still my turn. You've not proven anything, you've just given a questionable piece of evidence that you served as a bishop, which was not the entirety of my claim.

Everybody Wang Chung wrote:Hey, remember that time you admitted you were a forger? I do. Hey, remember that time you admitted you were heavily involved in illegal drugs? I sure do, my felonious friend.

Yes, I remember it well. The difference is that I admitted those things and moved past them over a decade ago. I have no problem acknowledging that I made big mistakes in my past. You are continuing to try to maintain a deception and are hiding behind pathetic tu quoque appeals to my openness about my past in an effort to maintain it. To quote you, it's "childish and silly."

You're the only one playing games. You unceasingly and naïvely judge other people and personally attack them without a care in the world for decorum or respect. I'm pointing out dishonesty and rhetorical petulance specifically because it's misguided and aimed directly at me, and I'm being perfectly open about it. You also know exactly who I am. You're just trying to clutch whatever rhetorical lifeline you can find to avoid acknowledging what everyone can plainly see is the truth. That's pathetic and dishonest, and particularly if you are really an acting bishop, which I still doubt.

Mak, you really don't have a clue how this makes you look, do you? You've painted yourself into a bizarre corner and you've angrily engaged an anonymous poster named "Everybody Wang Chung" for 7 pages, with no end in sight.

The sad thing is that these posts are now here for future employers and others to see for many, many years to come.

Epic fail, Mak, but please continue. The show must go on!

So you didn't actually go to Israel with DCP, and you were lying about all that, but don't have the integrity or the guts to admit it. You're just going to slink back behind this ad hominem smokescreen. You made one token effort to defend a portion of the accusation, but dropped the charade when I pressed you. Bravo.

I think I've made my point thoroughly enough. I'd appreciate it if people would stop posting wild speculation about me on this board in the future. I don't think that's too much to ask.

What point do you feel you've made thoroughly enough, Mak? Also, I don't have control over any of these people who you feel are posting wild speculation. And no Mak, I don't think that's too much to ask.

In fact, I would like to ask the same of you when it comes to me.

Carry on, Mak!

Then show me you can be as honest as me. Did you go to Israel with Daniel C. Peterson? If you did, it should be no problem whatsoever to provide a detail or two from the trip that Dan can confirm. If you did not, just admit you lied. Flagrantly refusing to acknowledge the question doesn't show me you're being honest or sincere. You tried to insist my admission of past mistakes somehow indicted me, but at least I can admit it, and that's with my identity fully available. What are you willing to do from behind your mask of anonymity?

First, from what I've seen, your "honesty" leaves a lot to be desired. Second, of course I didn't go to Israel with DCP.

How's that for honesty?

Now it's your turn to show me you can be as honest as me. Do you believe Joseph Smith to be the prophet of the restoration? If yes, how did you come to such knowledge?

That's not true at all.

Everybody Wang Chung wrote:Second, of course I didn't go to Israel with DCP.

Thank you for finally coming clean.

I appreciate it.

Of course I do.

That's personal and not something I talk about online. Surely you can see the difference between being dishonest and just not wanting to share something highly personal on a public website.

Truly one of most embarrassing threads on MD in a long time.
