Question for Mo Experts

I don't know if this will help, but...

I've enjoyed it when in response to questions i've asked him, he responds with something about how he's answered it before so he doesn't want to do it again and if I really am interested in his thoughts I'd search the board for his answer to someone else at some undisclosed point, on some undisclosed thread. "I just can't be bothered to answer that again...even if it's a yes/no question it's too much energy for me." But he's with us, sometimes, so it's nice to try and bounce things off him every so often. It'd be nice to have more believers around.

Over simplification used as a cover and distraction from the fuller context of conversations. Your own little ‘shrink wrap’. Suits your purpose.

I do find,as you do, that it’s entertaining/enlighteningto “bounce things off him” (you). I’m interested in looking into the mind of those that have made themselves into gods.

Interesting. i too am interested in looking metaphorically into the minds of Mormons quite often. "ye are all gods" is an interesting mindset that expounds on many Mormon ways of thinking. I'd love it if you cared to answer questions put to you and discussed the topic more. But, I guess I'll take what I can get It's always nice to see you chime in.

A wonder I wish every for Millennial and younger generation of Mormons and Mormon-adjacents to witness and digest in its full incredulity.

It is my hope that you get every attempt available- every fireside, every lecture, to share your defence with my fellow <30-something’s

I want you to see the pain, confusion, and anger registering across our faces as we follow the reasoning of the preceding debate(s) to their logical conclusion.

I want it to register within your skull, the full horror of what my generation, and generations after are experiencing as it dawns upon us that “our caps have actually got little pictures of skulls on them”, and that our best, rigorous defence of this is the conjuration of a bloody, and negligent, scarecrow-of-a-god. And then I want you to witness as one-by-one, rumour-by-Mormon-rumour, many (if-not-most) of us leave, ‘quietly quit’/mentally tap out, and/or become less-active.

All of this- just because the church cannot seem to confront and own its own problem of ‘Prophetic Infallibility’.

(And no, most of us won’t be convinced by any gaslighting on the matter; Pres. Nelson has been quite happy to emphasize the idea that ‘God would never let him lead the church astray’.)

Watch the numbers. Whatever trustworthy statistics we have on church membership and activity.
