Okay Hoops. I agree. Nothing is real. That means neither is your Jesus. Or you, for that matter. :)

You're agreeing with an assertion that I have not made.

You're not real, therefore you didn't just deny what you stated before. :)

You're getting there. What indeed is the point of arguing with someone that you cannot prove is real?

Arguing with Hoops is as pointless as arguing with Snow White, or Donald Duck.

So you're really not interested in discussing anything.

Okay.

I'm not asking for an argument. I'm asking for evidence. You two in particular reduce every discussion down to empiricism. I am simply asking for your logical conclusions why empiricism is the best way to access what is real. I've made no religious claims, I've used no religious language, I'm simply meeting you on your turf and asking you to explain yourself.

I'll note that neither of you have offered any explanation or evidence.

If Hoops is real, then the position put repeatedly by Hoops in this thread suggests we cannot prove that Hoops is real. So arguing with her is potentially a huge waste of time.

If Hoops is not real, then the project of 'a discussion with Hoops' is a waste of time, since there is nothing there to discuss with.

Either way ...

Ah...but does the turf really exist and can Hubble see it?

Not anymore. You've convinced me that you're a figment of my imagination. Therefore your argument of "nothing is real, therefore Jesus" was just something I came up with in my head.

Of course, that's not my argument and never has been.

Just for the record.

Even when I agree with you, you're not happy.

Of course, when I say you, I really mean me. :)
