Does that make it less true? Do you want a date for when you're going to die? If I can't provide one, does that mean you aren't going to die?

Did you have to become a Mormon to learn that we're all going to die?

I don't think it is fair to mischaracterize my statement as saying that Don's departure was no loss for the board. Of course it is a loss. Don is a friend, and I am always happy to have my friends around, less happy when they are absent. That said, I really don't think people were at all open to his perspective here. He saw that his reconversion was not something that he could easily communicate in a place where the dominant theme is warfare between critics and apologists.

Truth be told, I don't think Don's perspective is really all that much better understood by many apologists. All they generally "get" is that his arguments are leading in the right direction, toward faith. I doubt they pick up on a good portion of what he is saying.

In short, the whole, interminable critic-apologist battle is a sideshow. If you are in a place where it is important for you, whether on the critical or apologetic side, then a lot of what goes on here will resonate with you. Others of us remain because we have friends here whom we like. If you aren't into any of those things, then you will probably move on. Each place has its own character and appeal that draws those who get something out of it. I don't see the need to remake this place to suit those who can't tolerate criticisms of Mormonism. If you can't tolerate that, then you will probably move to a booster board like MDD.

You don't comprehend very well. Go back and read some of my former responses to Dr. Shades. Let me know when the light finally comes on.

We're still waiting, Ray.

You were the one that said sarcastically "And there's no scientific support for any of this, and definitely no anecdotal support. Nope. Can't even be considered." in response to my listing the four basic emotional motivators to believe.

So where's your non-emotional evidence, Ray?

We're still waiting.

You're avoiding the points I made. But that's classic you. Enjoy your "free speech" bacchanal.

C'mon, Ray, stop dodging and making it personal. Stay on topic. Show us your non-emotional evidence for Mormonism's truth claims?

Different people have been asking for this going on 181 years now. Don't keep us waiting in suspense any longer.

There's plenty of it.

For starters, go to This Site, and open your little narrow mind.

Then, when you finally open it, we might be able to go on to more complex issues. We might even be able to discuss evidence without your continual a priori assumptions about "what's possible" or "not possible".
