if I see a mother with a 12 year old sobbing and in shock from being publicly humiliated, I wouldn't classify her taking the child out of the meeting as her family leaving "in a bit of a huff."
Xenophon wrote:Perhaps huff has too much negative connotation to it, but I just imagine that if my child had been royally snubbed by the bishop I probably wouldn't worry too much about leaving as quietly as I might have in a normal circumstance. If the family was miffed, I don't fault them at all. This is just my take on trying to assume the bishop probably wasn't outright lying when he said the caused a "disturbance".
yes, I think I read too much into "huff." Thanks for the further detail, yes, I can see your point.

I'd leave them so people can see what a Mormon is all about.

Even if it means that to let them stand also means the entire thread stays put in Telestial and out of the more heavily viewed and trafficked Terrestrial forum? I'm just going to shut up now and see what happens without my generating even more extraneous comments.

There is a huge difference between this
and this
a normal girly heterosexual LDS woman (recently exmo or not) does not go for the bull look. period. even chicks in biker gangs don't go for this look. haha. this isn't about short hair, she has a whole thing going on.
Is this supposed to be a picture of Heather? She looks quite different on the Mormon Stories Podcast, with no tattoos on her arm.
Another CFR for the statements of fact in your opinion, Water Dog:
It's not uncommon for women to get married having never masturbated a single time in their life... they literally never had the urge to do so.

And when it comes to lesbians, a lot of those relationships are completely sexless in nature. Never sex, just a purely emotional companionship thing. Also very common.

The idea of a 12 year old "knowing" they are gay is laughable to me. Nonsense.
CFR that a 12 year old can't know they are gay.
In terms of the science too, my understanding is that for men a kind of gay gene has been found. For women though, not so much.
CFR
As I understand it, a gay boy could start to have a physical attraction to men starting around that 12-14 age range. Not so much for girls though. A girl having those kinds of strong physical feelings would be a sign of abuse...

I have a lot to learn so I'm open to being wrong about all of this, but lots of red flags. I don't believe this girl can know she's gay at this stage in her life. I just don't. I don't believe she's feeling strong sexual urges at all. If she is, something is wrong.
Water Dog wrote:I'm not going to post a picture of the lady. Even though the interview was public, screen-shotting it crosses a line that's too far for me. Her last name is also public, but you'll note I'm not including it here. For sake of this girl I hope it all goes down the memory hole.
Why did you post a picture that wasn't her? The Facebook link showed me what she really looked like and I had to check it after your post of photos that I assume were meant to back up your claim that she is a bulldyke. It wasn't honest at all to smear a mother with someone else's picture.
Lemmie needs an "authoritay" figure to tell her what to think. Those TBM habits die hard.
Wow, you will say anything to avoid supporting your statements of fact, won't you?

I think Water Dog might have profited from having had a wider range of friends in his younger years. That might have helped him to understand that a lot of perfectly reasonable and decent people live and feel in ways that are rather different from what seems usual to him.
It's probably a bit late for him to start learning that now, though. He's evidently reached the age where he just knows stuff.
Zadok: I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis. Maksutov: That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
Jersey Girl wrote:WD do you live near a university, perhaps even BYU? Community college?
There are several universities around here. I'm a student at one actually.
If you are in the vicinity of BYU, drop in to their lab school here: https://preschool.BYU.edu/ or any other university or community college ECE (Early Childhood Education) department and ask to check out a text on child development. You can also drop in to, for example, a psych department or nursing school and ask for the same type of text or a text on human development.
And get answers to some of the issues you've speculated about here on the thread.
