So you've already heard from the powers that be re MAD and LDS Church that Nemesis will be sending these assembled materials to the MDB poster's local LDS leaders rather than to SCMC?

No. I just don't think SCMC (if they do, in fact, exist) cares what people do on message boards.

Uh, saying Die! is sarcastic internet lingo, not issuing a death threat. Thankfully no one said DIAF or Nemesis might think someone is threatening to burn her alive.

At this point, I am utterly convinced that Nemesis is scraping together these accusations not out of concern but as a way of harassing and attacking us. I can't see all of these lies, misinterpretations, and trumped up accusations as being honest at all. If there is anyone on that board who is the least bit responsible and has the power to shut Nemesis down, they should do so already. This made up controversy has reached its expiration date.

It's the usual Mopologetic double speak. Act like you are speaking on good authority, and when someone tries to pin you down on the source of that good authority, obfuscate, backtrack, or confabulate.

I have it on fairly good authority that the SCMC would probably not have anything to do with it. It would be up to the local leaders.

Now you are just being coy.

The way the SCMC works is as a clearing house for complaints against Church members who are acting out of line. The complaints may come from anywhere, including message board moderators.

The complaints are reviewed and, if deemed appropriate, the SCMS then forwards the complaints, together with the member dossier they have created, to the "local leaders" who are expected to meet with the offending member and take corrective measures.

But then, you knew that already. Didn't you?

The SCMC was created by President Ezra Taft Benson, but its existence was kept secret and would likely have remained so, until the Pace letter written to the SCMC regarding the alleged Satanic rituals and baby sacrifices among the Mormons was leaked to the Tanners.

When confronted by the press, the Church admitted the SCMC did exist.
