Years ago I was on the Zions List mailing list run by John Redelfs. If you know him at all, you know that his brand of Mormonism is interwoven with right-wing Birchist politics. In a short period of time, he banned everyone who didn't agree with his politicoreligious views, and the list went downhill in a hurry. It looks like FAIR is going to make the same mistake.

I find it funny that they invite people over to debate their religion but criticize people for doing just that.

Interesting....last night I could read, but not post, now they have banned my IP completely so I can't even read the FAIR board.

I must be the ultimate thread.

I'm right up there with you, Harmony! LOL

That's all right...Paul can vouch that I'm not that bad of a person! LOL

Here's the tally of those banned over the weekend (in no particular order):

Southern Redneck
Brackite
Dr. Shades
Pokatator
Moksha
Who Knows

Anyone else?

I'm not banned. Neither is Truth Dancer.

Any other names in question?

(Who Knows, did you notice? The big banning was on the 5th of November. "Remember, remember, the 5th of November....")

That's because they like you, Dude. I wonder what the criteria were for banning people. Very strange doings, indeed.

Ah, poetic justice i guess. I love it! Or, it could just be coincedence - you know, kinda like moroni/cumorah or nahom. ;)

You can add me to the list, but I was banned back in April (for ticking off DCP once too many times). Face it, FAIR is going the way of ZLMB -- suppression of dissent will eventually destroy it. Too bad -- we used to have some great debates (on both bb's).
"Moving beyond apologist persuasion, LDS polemicists furiously (and often fraudulently) attack any non-traditional view of Mormonism. They don't mince words -- they mince the truth."

Well, I decided to one up them and restrict all reading privileges in the four main forums that involve FAIR talk. You have to be logged in to read them. (Islamic Issues, Nepotism Unleashed, Liberal Mormonism, DCP Chronicles)

This should piss the FAIR mods off to a considerable degree. I already know DCP reads my forum on a daily basis - or at the least, someone from his computer does. Last night he actually logged in again, and I was wondering if he would post. I think he is tempted.

I am pretty sure I know the FAIR mods IP too, and I have found this IP lurking in the "member list" section, with suspicious frequency and for an unusual amount of time. Nobody has ever registered or posted from this IP either. It has got to be the FAIR mods.

The fact that they were lurking in the member list tells me they were cross referencing to ban any FAIR monikers who were on my forum. Apparently they did just that to Who Knows and Brackite, along with revoking Liz's viewing privileges. I just hope they don't ban bcspace and Darth Bill.

Anyway, now the FAIR mods must be squirming, trying to figure out if they should register on my forum so they can read what's being said. They spend more time on our forums than they do their own it seems.

How's your obsession with FAIR coming? Getting treatment for it?

Interestingly, I tried to register for your forum under my true name and couldn't get an email confirmation back. Hmm. And more hmm.

How long ago did you register?

All new registrants need to be approved by Site Management before they can actively participate.
