I used to do this same sort of thing with the online antagonist against my faith. In relation to them, I posted pictures of Dumb & Dumber, Beavis and Butthead, Chicken Little, Alfred E Newman, Ruth Buzzy hitting Art Carney with her purse, etc.

But, I have since, for the most part, matured and corrected the character flaws and the cognitive distortions driving that need to disparage others in that juvenile way.

However, at the time, I posted the pictures directly to the individuals themselves so they could respond in-kind if they wished, rather smearing them behind their back on a board where I knew they didn't participate. Such a behavior would have been even too low for me then.

I wasn't aware that Juliann was a participant on this board. What screen name has she been posting under?

Also, I wasn't aware that the posts about her above were directed specifically to her. Can you explain why you think that they were?

More to the point, what would "behind Juliann's back" look like to you, if not when talking about her on a board where she is not a participant?

Wade, all someone like you, who is on a higher plane in terms of morality, intellect, logic, clarity, and self-actualization can do is to put your light on a hill. Let it shine and hope that those who are inferior to your character and moral traits will be inspired and emulate you one day.

by the way, I thought you were a right-winger. Is it an insult to say that Pahoran reminds me of Dick Cheney and Juliann reminds me of Anne Coulter? Shouldn't a right-winger view that as a compliment?

I really didn't mean to disparage them Wade, just have a little fun.

I used to see it the same way. But, I later realized that what I said in jest, was often taken in earnest--and for good reason.

Additionally, I thought it in my interest to be more honest with myself and to own-up to the fact that while it was oft meant in jest, there was an underlining intent to disparage. After all, given the unflattering images that I CHOSE, how could it not have been intentionally disparaging?

Besides not going behind the people's back with that seemingly benign form of mocking and teasing, I also was disinclined to do such things when others were piling on and ganging up on certain people. I suppose that partucular revulsion can be traced back to my days in kindergarten where a girl in my class had a problem with wetting her pants, and many of my classmates, and even to some degree my teacher, teased her mercilessly about it. That hurt her deeply, and for whatever reason, it hurt me to see her suffering that way. So, I made a concerted effort befriend and consol her--that is, until she was removed from school because of her blatter problem.
