Cinepro often uses this example of killing babies to ensure their exaltation.

Something else to ponder...

Would the TBM's be so disgusted by such a thought if Joseph Smith had killed babies?

We all know that baby killings happened in the Bible, so there is scriptural precedence for it. And since there is no act horrific enough that could cast doubt on Joseph Smith, he could have killed a few babies, claimed that God commanded him to do it in order to ensure their salvation. The apologists would not only condone it, but defend the legitimacy of it. Of course, arguing presentism the whole time. Anyone who argued that baby killing was evil would be subject to banning at MAD. Anyone who argued that Joseph Smith baby killing contributed to his murder would be banned.

Hmmm, you could also have pointed out that this is why you check the date of a post before you reply to it - thanks, WK, for not calling me stupid, which is what I deserved.

by the way, although they seem to be completely different in almost every other way, as far as I can see, I find Nehor and Pirate to be similar in their ability to make me blink, shake my head, and wonder: "where on earth did that thought come from?" - but in a good way.
