Why worry about your posting number? You'll just become a God sooner.

(Otherwise, hit "quote" when you reply to the first post, and then cut-and-paste the rest using the same quoting format.)
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.

But since I don't stay tuned in to the board every minute of the day, when I get back there are 7 posts addressed to me in a thread, and I want to give respect to a poster who specifically addresses me. But I don't want to post 7 times and inflate my posting number.

So how to I start a post with a quote, then get to a quote from another post and add it in, go to a third,etc?

It's actually quite simple. I usually just type in {quote}hey this is a quote{/quote} where { and } are replaced with [ and ]. I used the squiggly brackets instead because I wanted you to see the code. These quotes can be nested as well. Watch this.

{quote}{quote}Hey this is the first quote...{/quote}
And this is the second quote which contains the first quote.{/quote}

Now if I replaced the {} with [] so that the message board software displays it as intended, it looks like this:

Hey this is the first quote...

And this is the second quote which contains the first quote.

See how that works? Literally all you have to do is put the quote tag at the beginning of what you want to quote, and the /quote tag at the end of it. And you can nest them however you want, as long as in the end you have as many /quote tags as you had quote tags.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen
