Sounds like Church rhetoric to me.

This church has room for single parents and vampires so I think both you and Nehor can stay.

That explains the fang marks on my neck I wake up with every morning.

Nehor, I thought we talked about this! Only on weekends...

So you mean there's hope?

No, sorry. Moksha belongs to me. :-)

Oh....heck.

Maybe one day I'll release him from my basement dungeon, er...pleasure palace.

What's that chick's name from Misery?

Love ya, Mok!

Nehor is a vampire? That's how he escaped? I wondered how he got untied....

Hmmm...too much thinking out loud...I need more caffeine! LOL

Welcome back to the board, Nehor! Long time no see!

Sorry for the derail, PP! I do actually have a serious response to your OP.

Boaz & Lidia wrote:Thanks to your very typical Mormon male mentality response on Who Know's thread celebrating getting his wife back, I have a question for you.

Tell us, oh great mormon-god-in-training, tell us how you would react if your wife told you she had lost her testimony down a drain cover on the great infobahn.

"BC this is all BS and I am ditching the garmies and CHURCH"

What would you, the Mormon male assigned to her, do in this wretched moment?

I would hope that BC would stay with his wife based on his love for her. (Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic...always will be.)

Actually, in spite of all of the examples I have read where bishops encourage spouses to leave spouses over the Church, they are actually not upholding Church policy and the spirit of the doctrine in doing so.

Marriage and family are supposed to take precedence over everything, including Church.

Yes, there are. Why do you ask?

You'll have to be far more specific than that.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Well, you didn't offer sacrifice or bring me any tithes, but I'll answer anyway.....

If there were no other issues? I would put my money where my mouth is and rely on the scriptures (Such as 1 Corinthians 7:14).

If she decided she wanted a divorce I would grant it and I would also seek full custody of the children (to ensure continued training them up in the way they should go) and start dating.

Of course none of this has anything to do with the response of mine you are so incensed about. It was my reaction to one's agonizing, intellectually dishonest paths to leaving the Church, not one's spouse.

by the way, all these exit tales have a sort of a Paul H. Dunnish quality about them.......

Indeed. Such would certainly make the 1 Cor 7:14 pronouncement easier to live with.
