It depends. If you're a faithful LDS talking to other faithful LDS in the privacy of a home or the church, then yes, garments stop bullets, knives, prevent burns, save people from fiery car crashes, and prevent drownings. However, if you are a fiathful LDS speaking to a non-LDS or talking about garments in public on on the internet, then no, they are simply a religious garment worn to show worthiness to sacred covenants made in the temple and they are too sacred to talk about.

That's odd, when I was in an interview with my Stake President he told me what he's supposed to tell non-members. Poor man must have been confused. Though if he thought I was a non-member he probably shouldn't have been interviewing me for a Mission.

Well, I'm only speaking from my own experiences. I heard many many many urban legends of people being saved from physical harm by their garments. Didn't the Marriott guy even say it on 60 minutes? He said it in public to a non member so it was a bit embarassing for me at the time, as I was TBM. I am surprised that you've never heard these stories.

He did. He said he wasn't burned through his garments in some boating accident.

I always wondered why he was wearing garments on a boat. I have this image of garment shorts peeking out under his board shorts and a strange v-neck tanline.

Trojan Brownies..

Many stories in my youth. Garments will protect you.

..except for heart disease - one of the most pandemic of all killers - a disease directly connected to consuming of refreshments comprised of brownies and punch. Blessed by the chosen to "nurish and strengthen our bodies to do us the good we need.."

I was so gullible for so many years. Mostly out of duty and fear. Most ridiculous, poorly designed and disfunctional underwear.

It feels so great to be that much more aware of my mortallity now.

I don't know and I don't believe.

One thing is clear: the garment of my wife causes me physical harm (every time I am looking at it).

Because of garments I have been free of the most prominent example of male domination of women in thousands of years:the bra.

The garment top is constructed such that I have no need to wear a bra.

Thank you, God.
