I've never said that Scartch's internet stalking is illegal. I do, however, regard it as undeniably malevolent.
I'm undecided whether those here who claim to think that I've made an actual death threat against Master Scartch are play acting or are genuinely nuts.
Perhaps the correct answer will vary from person to person.
Consider a typically violent game of church bball. Two players start having words. One threatens he will kill the other and his loved ones, and proceed to dismember all of them. After things cool down, it's determined that the words are at least, at present, not a serious threat.
Because the determination has been made by the victim of the threats, and others, that the threat isn't presently serious, the one who made the threats does not owe an apology to the one who was threatened.
That makes a lot of sense.

Would you mind sharing with us if you honestly feel threatened by Dr. Peterson, and if you feel that board administration should take action?
At an absolute minimum, it seems obvious to me, anybody who seriously thinks that his or her life has been threatened by a poster on this board should and would lodge a complaint with the board's moderators/management, demanding action.
A poster who uses this board to issue death threats should, at the very least, be banned from the board.
I encourage Scartch, if his fears are sincere and genuine, to demand that Dr. Shades bar me from participation on MDB. Not to do so would be highly irresponsible. A person such as I, if I am indeed the kind of person that Scartch claims to believe I am, should not be granted a platform from which to make illegal threats, with impunity, against the safety of participants here. To allow such a person such a platform would be simply wrong.
I have grandchildren who love to play with swords. It's their very most favorite activity. They play with each other for hours, laughing hilariously when one of them falls down "dead". I take them as seriously as I take the (s)word play here. Attack, defend; attack, defend; attack, defend. Over and over and over. And the sides change every day or so. At the end of the day, we all pick up our (s)words, dust off our butts, and go home.
I'm not always on the same side; many of us change sides, depending on the subject. Having reviewed the items in question, here's my take:
Knowing DCP, I also know a little about his brand of humor. This appears to me to be nothing more than another example of his using absurdity to illustrate absurdity.
Mister Scratch himself never complained to me about it, thereby suggesting that he, too, agrees with me about point #1, above.
DCP never made any actual threat. He (satirically or otherwise) described thoughts in his head, which isn't illegal. Even so, he specifically described the thoughts as mere "images," not actual plans, and stated that he "must repress them," which indicates a lack of actual intent.
Therefore, I hand down the following verdict: "Tempest in a teapot."
Now back to your regularly-scheduled programming.
