Geez, Jersey. I thought you were talking about the smilies!
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Well I've already taken the hit and paid it all. I'm just pissed that yahoo would do this. They were a great registrar for many years, I had something like 25 domains hosted with them, so for all of them to suddenly triple their price really knocked a huge chunk out of my already thin finances. Luckily, since I recently started working at bluehost, once I paid Yahoo, i was able to transfer them all away from yahoo for free.

In any case, there's no need to worry anymore. I'll just be sneaking in a few extra hours of work for the next few weeks. Skip a lunch here or there, overtime adds up...

EDIT:

I just wanted everyone to understand what happened, since I kinda panicked and threw this all on ya unexpectedly. The issue wasn't so much the $50, but the fact that I had all my domains with yahoo set to automatically charge my card every year. So they suddenly threw up the new price, and then auto-deducted my card for all my domains at once, leaving me quite in the red. By the time this domain got charged, I had gone through my entire overdraft protection and the charge was declined.

What sucks is... This is really the only domain I care about! I wouldn't have given a rats ass about any of the other domains. I can always get new ones for cheap, but I simply couldn't lose this one. So I panicked and threw up that message...

In any case, I went and got a payday loan to pay for the domain, so there is no need for anyone to worry. MD is here to stay.

I require some proof of this or at least an explanation of how you KNOW a couple of people have "put their finger" on the domain?

There's services that will help you snatch a domain. You pay a yearly fee, and they will automatically buy it up the second it's available. I tried signing up for this after Yahoo informed me of the changed price, and was told there was already a hold on it.

Like Angus, I'm feeling ambivalent about this request and the urgency attached to it.

Also like Angus, there is a feature I'd like to see installed here and every time I mention it, I'm essentially told to take a hike and forget it, that it's too much trouble or too costly to install a threaded view option when I know good and well there's a way to do anything.

It's been at least a month, if not two or more, that I asked you about not being able to access the chat feature on the upgrade. I have no response from you regarding the information I supplied to you in the Off Topic, nor any conclusion on that issue. Therefore, I cannot use one of the features already installed on this board

a while back, I threw in on a board to the tune of 1/3 of the needed funds. I'm not sure I want to do that here. I'm kind of ambivalent about this board in general.

I'm rambling...

I'm sorry Jersey. Send me an e-mail: keene@keenemaverick.com and we'll try to get the chat working for you.

The friend/foe feature is up to shades to enable/disable.

That's sort of an scary thought. Whose the enemies? Like the More Good Foundation or someone?

Sadly there's no way to know. I betcha it was the same guy behind morondiscussions though. He seemed to have it out for this site for a while. I was actually amazed no one ever showed up at my house (my address is a matter of public record), he threw out some pretty serious threats...

Please, feel free to mention RFM, MAD&d board likes, (they won't qualify).

And you're obviously a retarded little ass monkey that has absolutely no f*****g idea about what he's talking about. Google "phpBB3 Forum" and you'll see literally THOUSANDS of forums that use phpBB3 (the message board program this board runs on) and have the ridiculous friend/foe option turned on.

Perhaps I'm wrong, in which case I hope he corrects me, but when solomarineris said "show me some other sites like this," I think he meant "show me some other sites" that allow anyone to speak his or her mind without fear of banning, capping, queueing, censoring, etc. RfM doesn't fit the bill, MA&D doesn't fit the bill. . . only we here at MormonDiscussions.com welcome all points of view.

As for the friend/foe option, I fought against it tooth and nail for a long time, but democracy won out in the end. Everyone seemed to want it, so why not make everyone happy?

Maybe it's time for a poll on this issue.
