I'm sorry that, several months ago, I scheduled seventy-five student papers to come in on Monday and a midterm to be graded this week and two nights out of town and ward conference this weekend and my annual stewardship interview with my stake presidency on Wednesday night and hours of bishop's interviews and that I had to meet a deadline to finish editing a dual-language edition of Qadi ‘Abd al-Jabbar's Critique of Christian Origins (from his multivolume Kitab al-Mughni) by yesterday.

And I'm sorry, most of all, that I didn't inform you of this weeks in advance. You have a right to know, and to be kept apprised of my daily and weekly schedule.

Seems you can post non-stop on everything else else but the threads that are of real substance and the threads that involve something that you have stated.

I fully intend to respond to Danna's post.

Insubstantial nonsense like yours can be responded to very quickly and briefly. Derogatory posts -- if I respond to them at all --merit (and will get) only short responses, and don't take much time.

Danna, by contrast, raised actual substantive issues. (Something of a rarity here, in my experience.) I take what Danna wrote seriously enough to want to respond carefully and after having considered it.

If that doesn't meet with your approval, or if my posting schedule doesn't suit you, I'm afraid you'll just have to cope with it. Life is tough, and then you die.

Wow, Dr. Pederson, thanx for all the compliments. You really are busy and so important you do need to go on a cruise...... maybe just as a relaxing participant rather than a presenter of the "standard response" and sputum. Take a break you need it.

These all sound exciting. I think Dr. Peterson would be an excellent tour director, especially if these more mature members are able to grasp his sense of humor. I understand the echoing acoustics are so good at the mouth of some glaciers, that if you yell "Smith" you will get back "Joseph, Joseph, Joseph".

Too bad we can't all go on this together. Dr. Peterson's talks and Harmony and Liz's sidebars would all add to the experience.

How is that trip expenses supposed to be reflected in DCP's income column? If somebody is footing his bill how would IRS know?
