Well here is what I think is a fairly cogent argument. He was an itinerant preacher, by gospel accounts poor (had no where to lay his head), recommended that followers sell everything to come and follow him, gave a parable that people working one hour could receive the same as people labouring 12 hours, said the first shall be last, and the last first, preferred to ride on an ass than a chariot, and taught that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.
