The Mormon God never condemned Smith's immoral behavior. Why would He? It was the Mormon God that gave him the authority to break the rules.

Joseph had both the second anointing and binding an losing powers. He was exempt from earthly rules. Additionally, God will not permit priesthood leadership from leading the Church astray...so there you go.
