Does "falsafa" rhyme with "falsify?"

Comeon Shades! don't let me down here...
It is philosophy....
And DCP is heavily borrowing from;
Ali Baba & Forty Thieves.
NO.
He is reflecting a Golden age of Arab, Farsi "Faylasuf's" (Philosophers), who translated Homer, Plato, who left us troves of treasures that we Westerners otherwise would have no clue about their existence.
The Arab enlightenment died as soon as it rose, Lasted maybe few years longer than Medieval Dark ages.
As usual, the sad ELEMENT of religion took over the whole region.
Islam was worse than Aids is to Africa.
It is as bad a Borg.
If you know your Trek history.

DCP always has struck me as being insightful, accurate, and fair when discussing issues concerning Islam. Of course, I'm not particularly familiar with the subject, but that's my general sense. This isn't at all shocking, as that is what his actual expertise is in. Religious apologists with credentials often are competent in their limited area of expertise while off the wall in their apologetic work. But he also has an undergrad in phil and he writes plenty of embarrassing material on philosophy that is facepalm worthy, so it isn't so simple. Anyway, long story short I think he should be taken as a credible authority on the subject when it isn't touching his second career as an apologist.

Why shouldn't the quality of work in one career directly reflect upon the other?

Or does one receive justifiably more attention than the other? Kind of like the difference in build quality between a Ford Pinto and an AC-Cobra? Which career reflects the Pinto? You tell me.

by the way in other thread, I've said I like DCP - in a special way.

Why did I write something in Arabic?

In order to make the simple point that I'm qualified for the study of Islam in a manner that, so far as I'm aware, Inconceivable is not -- which supports my point that, despite his/her pretensions, Inconceivable is not qualified to judge my work on, say, Ibn Sina's Kitaab al-Ilaahiyaat min al-Shifaa’ or, currently, Fakhr al-Din al-Razi's Dalaa’il al-Nubuwwa.

I make no claim to being an expert on Hungary or knowing Hungarian (let alone, in the manner of Inconceivable, to being qualified to pronounce judgment on Hungary-related scholarship or to evaluate studies of Hungarian linguistics).

[But you had better confirm all of this with Inconceivable, because I'm not to be trusted on matters Arabic or Islamic.]

So how many more responses to/about Inconceivable are you going to make until you "really" won't care what he/she says? Geez, be honest with yourself - THIS IS YOUR LIFE!

It's not your ability to study that is under scrutiny here, it's your credibility to accurately and honestly convey what you claim to have studied.

If you were a pie, how many bites would it take to know what the rest tasted like?
