TAK wrote:Have you?

Yes, I have. And your silly little obfuscations haven't touched it:

Defamation and character-assassination are odd choices for a hobby.

TAK wrote:Why don't the other bios on that page indicate themselves as members of the executive council of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship?

I have no idea. I wrote none of them, including my own.

TAK wrote:Did you just feel the need to inflate your position?

You're trying to enter Scratch territory here.

I have to warn you, though, very candidly, that, in my opinion, you've demonstrated neither the weird obsessive energy nor . . . well, the peculiar intellectual abilities required for certification as a Scratch.

TAK wrote:Don’t you have some Islamic writings that need Chamberlainizing ?

By which you mean editing, translating, and publishing?

Yes, I do.

But you've been amusing, and I appreciate the distraction you've offered. Have a nice day.

Well who could ?
Coming from the fingertips of an esteemed professional apologist such as you!
Why it should be mounted on bronze plaque and placed prominently near the Seagull on Temple Square..

Well, if anybody could, it would be a professional message board poster such as yourself.

Which pre-school wall should I look on for your next clever comeback?

It's transparently obvious that your sense of humor is Flintstonian and quaint. Did your mommy and daddy forbid you from watching the naughty, raunchy stuff like Milton Berle, or Saturday Night Live?

In any case: carry on. Your wit is just so modern! So charming! So intelligent! You are so brilliant in your ridicule! I'm in awe of it! Let us offer up a hymn of thanks!

Wait for it... it's on the same one this is posted:

Sometimes I think you like to come off as a hypocrite on purpose (but then I realize it's more likely you just don't see it that way; you're just a little dim when it comes to how you come off).

Always good for a point and laugh, though. Good times.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

Well, if TAK were really clever he would offer up a limerick:

There once was a fat man from Utah,

Who liked to post online all day,

When a man called TAK,

Lobbed insults amid much flak,

Thus he vexed the fat man from Utah.

ROTFL!

It's a beautiful thing when noxious hypocrites fall into a trap.

The passage below is taken directly from Mister Scratch, on the "Stendahl" thread, where it was presumably okay because it was aimed at me:

It's transparently obvious that your sense of humor is Flintstonian and quaint. Did your mommy and daddy forbid you from watching the naughty, raunchy stuff like Milton Berle, or Saturday Night Live?

There once was a rotund man from Utah,

Who delighted in causing a fuss,

He squealed with glee,

In his depends he did pee,

Such was the rotund man from Utah.

Scratchites or pre-kindergartners . . .

The nature of the board hangs in the balance.

As for me, I view either outcome with serene indifference.

Just as poor antishock8 would have offered up a limerick, had he been clever:

Oh well.

If wishes were fishes, we'd have a big fry.

If horseTAKs were biscuits, we'd eat till we die.
