Nowhere did I advocate "ganging up" on JSkains. That's not the reason he's entertaining; he's entertaining because of the posts he submits of his own free will, before any critical feedback.

It certainly isn't right that JSkains should roam the internet, freely insulting people and never expect any critical feedback.

That's hard to argue with. There seems to be little question he's unstable, like creating a website called "Mormonssuck", which is actually a pro-Mormon website. That tells me a lot.

Someone in real life ought to give this dude some counselling.

Edit: From my understanding it's his URL that has the "mormonssuck".

Actually I think he bought it from somebody - which only adds to his depth of intelligence..

The entry for JSkains in Asbestosmans's Guide to the Galaxy is the following:

Mostly Harmless.

It used to simply state harmless but I convinced the Guide's editors that there may be some risk involved.

Incidentally the entries for virtually all of the posters on this board are also mostly harmless.

Double incidentally, I hear that the best way to get good behavior out of people is to ignore bad behavior but openly reward good behavior. (Since I feel I'm being ignored lately, so I suspect something might be up with my behavior. Maybe I'm too self-righteous).

My objection has nothing to do with mental state. We're all nuts, just to differing degrees.

I just don't think it's fair to laugh at somone, when they don't share in the joke. Jersey is short; I have white hair; I can tease Jersey about being vertically challenged and should she care to, she can tease me about being a chrome dome, because we both know it's a joke, not meant to hurt. Comments about Josh's eyes etc are not meant as a joke; they are meant to hurt. They have nothing to do with his arguments, his websites, his philosophy, yet they are commented on and the intent is to hurt.

I just don't think that's very good form. There's enough out there that Josh brings on himself, that it seems like a cheap shot to comment on something he has no control over.

Excuse me Harmony, just a quick private word with you..everyone else don't read. You are making assumptions. In all the time I spent on 2 think I never once read anything about J.G's height. And on here, J.G. never brought up her height. But I've seen you bring it up a number of times. My read on J.G. is that she wants no personal information about her on the board, other than what she brings forward. If you are going to give examples of discussing characteristics of individuals which you know about, then use information that people themselves have brought to the board.

Harmony and Jersey Girl have met in real life. They know each other on a different level.

If Jersey Girl was offended by Harmony's jokes about height, I'm sure she would say something. Jersey Girl is not someone I would consider shy or inhibited.

Marg... try to keep up... I know Jersey IN REAL LIFE! I've seen her, spoken with her, had actual sit down and get to know her conversations. She's delightful. We've laughed together, talked for hours on the phone. One of the things we laugh about is my hair... another thing we laugh about is her height. And she brings it up, on the boards, has done for years! Along with her coveralls. And her shoes. Heck, because she'd made comments about it for years over on Z, I knew what to expect the first time I met her.

In real life, when people are friends (you may not know much about this, since I'm not sure you have any experience with friends in real life), people occasionally indulge in something called teasing. It's kinda fun. Maybe you've never had any of that either. Kinda sad, really.

Now maybe you'd like to get back to the subject of the thread? That would be Josh [deleted]. Thanks.

Well if she's joked openly about it on another board then that's fine. The only time I've seen mention of it, is by you a number of times on this board.
