Thank God this is the latter-days where we have Jack Daniels whiskey, bottles and bottles of it.

Along with a little bit of the hypocampus.
Oh shut up, you tight ass.

Don't be so quick to judge, Jersey...there's some merit to this. A hypocampus [sic] that is untainted by alcohol has been shown to be responsible for feelings of spiritual superiority and self-righteousness in lab rats. Specimens that were exposed to even one dose of alcohol were said to have "chilled out" a little, while those exposed to several put their little arms around their friends and told them how much they've always loved them. Researchers are still trying to determine whether these results should be considered good or bad.

Hey floatingboy. Good to see you. I still haven't given enough time to wine. My motto has always been "Grains Before Grapes". As for your advice about taking it slow, I couldn't agree more. Ease into it, guys. Your buzz will last longer and you won't hate yourself in the morning (or throughout the night, throwing up). Have a nice, tall SoCo and Coke or a 7 & 7. If you prefer to drink your liquor straight up, take your time. Savor it.
Because of the medication I'm on, I can't drink alcohol. I miss it. I really want an Anchor Steam.

yo yo, silent kid. you know as well as anyone that if you enjoy a tall glass of so co and coke, a heated game of NHL 2001 helps your body metabolize the alcohol better.

I didn't try to circumvent it. It was an honest mistake. You will notice that the "L" in my first name was captalized when it should have been a little "l". I signed off so fast that everything got screwed up. Sorry. I know I'm a bad boy sometimes. How come nobody ever comes down to the telestial world where we can get nasty? Not even Polygamy-Porter comes down any more. He is so righteous. I'm all alone in my wickedness.

I wouldn't discourage him if I were you, bc. After all, if he loses enough brain cells he might find himself able to believe in the Church again.

Hey, I heard that!
Man, I've got a headache this morning. Does that mean the church is true? I had a few last night and managed to piss DCP off who was listening in on THIS board. How was I suppose to know he was listening in? Ain't there a place where we can have a few drinks, express our minds, and not get crucified doing it?
I must be a fool to think that.

After hang-over 100+ you begin to see that the church's prohibition on alchohol isn't such a bad thing....until the next week-end rolls around.
Wine is nice with a good meal, but makes me really drowsy / sleepy and is not a smooth transition from imbibbed to normal. Sake hits fast and wears off fast. Beer makes you feel bloated and full.
Shots are where it is at. You sip on some good Bourbon, whiskey or even a really good tequila, limit the drinking to 4-6 shots over the night (I weigh over 200 lbs) and you have yourself a good drinking night and easy recovery the next day.
