I doubt it's Porter, since I've known him for 5 years on the boards. I don't think he could maintain the shtick for 3300 posts over almost a year. Maybe 100, maybe for a week, but Porter has been posting too long to not "screw up" and use the quote feature correctly or other things Joseph does. Plus Porter has a pretty easy to spot writing style that I usually recognize when he's used other puppets (collegeterrace, Boaz, etc). He probably thought the whole thing would be a fine joke (perhaps on everyone, I'd laugh myself probably since I've gotten used to being duped by sock puppets), but I doubt Porter=Joseph. If I'm wrong well...don't call the copyright brigade on me.

Note: Porter has donated money to this board, why would he do all that copyright BS which has an endgame of getting the board shutdown?

I have no doubt that Joseph is probably someone's sock puppet. His posting is too idiosyncratic for any other theory. He's worked hard to develop a distinctive style, never says very much nor goes into great depth, and is careful to employ his own trademarked catch phrases and terms. He sticks to his own bizarre method of quoting because it separates him from everyone else. It may also be separating him from his other, oddly mismatched, sock.

All this sock puppet discussion is making me paranoid. Are there really only two people on this board? Me and one other? A creative genius (maybe Shades) that has a multitude of puppets. :)
