Nope. You have to sign up for those. If you don't want to be in one of them, no one will ask you to.

Nope. You have to sign up for those. If you don't want to be in one of them, no one will ask you to.


I got a personal phone call to my home to renew mine last time. I have also been reminded in person that I was due for renewal. I'm pretty sure that now that I have turned it in I will not be called to renew. But, just wanted to say that sometimes they do hunt you down for a TRI. Of course, all you have to do it say "no thanks."

Hmm, that's bizarre. That means only one of two things:

  • They now do things differently, or
  • They didn't consider me important enough to call.

It varies by ward. My current ward seems to be hyper-vigilant about it.

My ward's EQ presidency keeps a list of who has a TR and who doesn't.

Back when the EQ Pres requested the list from the bishop during PEC, I protested vigorously but lost the battle.

It does not go well. If a NOM want to be active best to shut your mouth and smile.
