I would not feel completely safe posting here if a TBM was a moderator. Haven't they made oaths to defend and build up the kingdom?

I would vote for Nehor as a mod.

RayAgostini wrote:Well how do you define yourself? You're certainly not a "TBM". Lots of still on the records Mormons define themselves as "Ex-Mos in spirit". I'd be interested to hear your clarification.
Culturally, I'm Mormon. I reserve a special place in my heart for the likes of Robbie Bosco and one Ebenezer Brown, who helped settle Draper, Utah. I was born and raised Mormon in the Mo'Corridor (as they call it) and all my family and most of my friends are Mormon. When I talk to these people in real life, I maintain respect of our shared cultural background.
I am a Mormon in spirit. I'm finally starting to figure out a way to see some things that work for me. These are things that came to me in my own, strange way. I wholeheartedly disagree with the current methods of worship and trends toward a monotheistic belief system. I do not plan to apologize for my beliefs and will strive for a sense of pride in them. There is a chance I will end up in a Mormon chapel on Sundays again. There's an equal chance I will end up in a Catholic Mass. I really don't know where this will go. But wherever it goes, I plan to make a go with a new attitude. I will try not to feel sorry for being different. I will try to approach other believers with respect and show them I have respect for my beliefs as well.

I would, too.
Nehor, are you interested?
And I voted yes for Zee.

I'm concerned about an orthodox/believing mod. How much access do mods have to PMs and emails and such?

None.

Any Mormon posting here has made those oaths. I fail to see what "kingdom building" has to do with it. I don't think MDDB has, or would have, an Ex-Mo as a mod, so by only electing "safe moderators", you'd be acting no different than MDDB.

Then I've no problem with Nehor as mod.

My only concern is that these moderators would have access to personal information including IP addresses. How valuable would it be for the church to have someone on the inside, someone who has to live up to these oaths and who would have the power to "out" those who post here.
Liz stated that these moderators don't have access to PM's and emails, but what about IP addresses?
