That's pathetic; however, it doesn't fulfill cdowis's requirement that Chris be banned. Cdowis will not return to MDD while Chris is allowed to post on the forum. Chris is so allowed. Cdowis should either apologize and back away from his ultimatum, or never post on MDD again.

Like Blixa and Just Me said. Wow, I'm sorry to hear that.
On the other hand, I think it makes it very clear that the people sharing the emails or accusing you here are incredibly biased to the point they have no problem accusing a "loved one" of some of the worst behaviours man-kind is capable of in defense of their worldview. Sadly, they do not see that they feel the same dispicable behaviour on the part of God or His agent is not only justifiable, but apparently laudable since they are sharing this via email.

I don't want this to become a pity party for me. I think I've invited enough of those into this board at everyone's expense.
I should explain the circumstances. It was my dad who asked me the question about murdering Joseph. I think he was speaking in anger and was at a total loss of what to say at the time. Things have calmed down a lot in the past year. He was so very shocked that his own son had lost faith in and lost any respect for Joseph Smith. In his shock, those words just came out.
Later (around last October), he asked what I think of Joseph Smith. I should have said nothing. Instead, I told him the things Joseph did disgust me. It's how I feel and I guess I had to be upfront. He replied with, "so you hate him." I think this was some sort of validation for his sense of persecution.
I wish it could all be erased. I wish Joseph Smith wasn't born and my parents were Catholic or something. Oh well.

Zeez, that's what you get for hanging around with the likes of me. I have no loved ones who would accuse me of that, TG. I refuse to judge anyone unless I have lived their life. That includes Joseph Smith.
