Here's a question to ask yourself: what do scientists in particular have to gain from pretending that AGW is real?

And on the flipside, what do conservative capitalists have to gain by denying it?

I would think that the answers to those two questions should tell anyone what they need to know to determine the truth of the matter.

Don't scientists get funding for doing climate research? If there is nothing to worry about then they won't get funding.

Sciences get funding NO MATTER WHAT. The fact that so many of them, in different fields, are showing that climate change is real, should be obvious that there is a real trend. In fact, a study that shows global warming ISN'T happening would probably make a scientist more famous, and give him more wealth. (which is why some people are pretending).

Why do you guys take comfort in an off the track minority opinion? No matter what scientific fact I may happen to not like, I can always find some one somewhere to comfort me with a contrary opinion.

Honestly I have read a bunch of papers supporting both sides. Confuses the hell out of me.

Were all the experts back in the 70's saying the earth was cooling? I'm not sure what to think of these "experts" on both sides.

Look, CO2 isn't poisonous to inhale for humans but it is harmful to the environment to the extent that it promotes a sufficient greenhouse effect.
CO2 ---->Greenhouse effect----> Heat------>Death.

You are being silly to worry about the semantics of the word "pollutant".
You can say that it isn't a pollutant all day long and it doesn't change the fact that enough of it can snuff out life (check out conditions on Venus).
We are talking about consequences to life resulting from excessive global warming.

Do me a favor and come back to me when you have read a response to this article or the ideas in this article from a climate scientist. You wouldn't be against looking at the response would you? That would be like me getting my ideas about Mormons from Ed Decker and refusing to hear a response. Well, unless you don't really want the truth.

I have held that the Antediluvian world was shrouded with water vapor. If so, then to pinpoint one area on earth to curse with much heat may have been a hole in the vapor shield. Perhaps something similar although not the exactly the same thing as the perpetual hurricane in the vapors of Jupiter. Hmm? With the integrity of the shroud compromised it was just a matter of time before the the coldness where the opening of the hole began allowed low enough temperatures to penetrate the depths of the water vapors which may have eventually affected he entire vapor shield and it suddenly condensed. Hmm?

Now the ozone hole could be a marker prescient to water vapor ascending up again so that the paradisaical glory of the world can be renewed. When the earth is baptized with fire that will send aloft enough vapor I suppose. Interesting that the two major earth changes may have had similar precursors.
