Well, they may stand by it now, but what happens when the whole Jesus thing becomes unfashionable? Then everyone will say you're just speaking as a man and it was never really doctrine.

You guys... you seem to have more to be disingenuous about than average.

Jesus's role in the church has changed through the years. The more important and unchanging principle in Mormonism is the authority of the LDS priesthood as god's representatives on Earth. That is the one thing that will never change.

I'm sure there were believers of Zeus that said the same thing if anyone thought that religion was going to die.

I actually think christainity will become unfashionable at some point in human history. I won't see it in my life time but I'm going to predict not too many will believe in it in about 500 years.
