That is absolutely my idea of cool. And frankly, Jersey Girl, who gives a crap if you don't find it cool. That's not what moderation is about. If that post belonged in the lower kingdoms, then I'm fine with it going there because of the strong language.

However, if you just want to call it out for not matching your sense of what "cool" is, then do it via public debate. As someone mentioned earlier, this is how MD&D got where it is today, and nobody wants this board to go in the same direction.

This is why I would not trust you to moderate.

Does that post meet the rules for the Terrestrial?

That is a lie. Sorry to say, but it is.

Why do you choose to call my integrity into question? I don't care who moderates this board so long as it's moderated according to forum rules. It's not being done. My guess is that folks are not taking time to report violations and/or the moderators are too busy to sift through the threads.

I asked if Shades could get on a couple of temp moderators and backed my request with an offer. It's perfectly okay with me if he doesn't take me up on the offer. I'd really like to see the few temp mods installed for say, two weeks, to help take up the slack.

Okay, guys. I think I've said all I had in mind and offered a few examples of what I was referring to.

I'm willing to let God "sort out" the rest.

So report the thread, Jersey... I'm having a hard time figuring out if you are asking people to slow down on the personal attacks or if you are complaining about the moderation.

Personally, I like the raw feel of the board. I like having people like stemelbow get called out for his crappy behaviour. I notice you didn't have much of a problem with the stem's original post which contained a swipe at MD members in both the title and the body. So, are you OK so long as we don't swear?

Hell, if I'm the guy who shut Stem up, I'll wear that as a badge of honour. Ceeboo I think felt he needed a breather and I won't speak ill of the man - he's a standup fellow. I see the point he was making in the thread, and see the counterpoint. Sometimes this board is just frustrating.

What's your motivation here? Board nanny? Just having a bad day? What?

Look, Jersey Girl, you're being overly concerned about the matter. Just shoot Shades a PM and let it go or hit the report buttons. The last thing this board needs is more moderation. I don't think you were being a bad liar, just an honest liar -- a little white lie. Don't sweat it. You know I love you.

Does that post meet the rules for the Terrestrial?

There are two issues here:

1. Does this post break the Terrestrial rules. Yes, it does. I admit that. And if it was moved, I'd understand.

2. Does it meet Jersey Girls sense of cool? You said it does not. That is what scares me - you would arbitrarily move posts based on what you judge cool and what you judge un-cool.

Mods can move my posts - hell, mods have moved my posts. No big deal if I'm breaking rules. But I think you reveal your true motivation in your previous posts.

What, you're speaking for everyone? I'm pretty sure there's plenty of posters here who would like this board to go in the same direction. We'll call those people Asbestosman and his cronies. ;)

I stated clearly what my motivations were in the OP, LDST. Not wanting to see people feel driven out of here, acknowledging that the mods (like most others) are busy during this time of year, requesting a few temp mods to take up the slack and offering to help if needed.

Okay, now I really need to go tackle in real life for a bit.

When were you planning to take the report on LDST's post that I linked to in this thread and reported prior?

Does it meet the forum rules for the Terrestrial? I'm thinking not.

Others may disagree.
